One song in particular that I have been wanting to hear solo acapella is men of Harlech. I do not know if this would be in your range ( I admit to knowing very little of such matters ). If you think this song is good and you deside to make a video of you singing I would be most greatful.
@torosax I did enjoy the 3-part Rascal Flatts you uploaded. Would it be in order for me to suggest songs that I think you might like singing acapella, and I would very much enjoy singing?
This song is so beautiful... My boyfriend sang this to me on our first night away from our parents as we laid down by the lake looking at the stars. It makes me so happy everytime I hear it.
@314P Thanks a lot! I may get around to actually singing with an accomp. track and posting again.. hard to believe that I recorded this 5 years ago already...
This version is great... If you like this one, check out the female acapella version from smartinmarketing. Interesting how similiar the renditions are!
WHAT is THE TRUTH about JESUS & HIS MOTHER MARY? Simply A JEW JESUS didn't DIE on THE CROSS &so HIS PUPILS STOLE "so called HIS BODY" from THE TOMB as ROMAN SOLDIERS TOLD &so ROMAN SOLDIERS were LOOKING for ALIVE JESUS & HIS MOTHER &HIS PUPILS as SWINDLERS! So JESUS & HIS MOTHER had to ESCAPE from THE TERRITORY where THEY were KNOWN VERY WELL. So JEWS PROPAGATED A SWINDLE that JESUS & HIS MOTHER MARY CAME to THE SKY! So ROMAN EMPERORS DECIDED to CRUCIFY "so called FIRST CHRISTIANS" as SWINDLERS!
That was great, i like your vibrato. Little bit flat on the descending notes at the beginning but i always do that too. I only wish there was background music with this to make it one tempo.
That was lovely! I have to play this piece in church next month and was looking for some interpretation to inspire me. This performance was about as good as anything else I found. Thank you for posting that!
At 1:13 you were really focusing your tone. You need to do that all of the time. Your sound needs to resonate from your face. I know that sounds abstract, but that's the key. You must work to have the same tone support all the time. This is more difficult to achieve on the lower part of the voice. You have a very nice voice- keep up the good work!
Go back to the music and look at the note values. Some of them are incorrect in your rendition. You are also scooping up to some of the higher notes. Try getting lower breaths and using your air evenly throughout the phrases.
I do agree with not sounding like groban or frangoulis wich are more.. pop. I would recommend more corelli and Pavarotti of course but, nice mechanism, soft connection of the air in your vocal chords.. maybe more support of your diafragma would be better. Congratulations
I think you have a very nice voice but I would recommend you open your mouth more - you will get richer tones. I would also say watch some of the Mario Frangoulis videos and Josh Groban - you need to not be afraid to put more emotion into your singing. Good luck.
@torosax you're instrument is far superior to that of Groban...there were a few patches where you were slightly off-pitch but not by much...that was excellent...anyone that says you should listen to Groban is vapid. Listen to Gigli, Caruso, Domingo, etc.
wow!! your really good but try to open your mouth and let the the sound come out your really good!!!use your diaphragm and that will help you to produce more sound but other than that you are really great!!!!
um... you kinda lost me... if you're referring to the word gratia pronounced gratsia... that's the proper latin diction for the word... otherwise I'm just lost
Oooo....I see, I thought it was just an accent people have. I thought it was the same thing in con te partiro where people sing it with a ts instead with a t
there are a variety of ways different people pronounce Latin words. Modern Italians do not prounounce exactly the same way that ancient Romans did and medieval Europeans pronounced it different still. Since Schubert wrote this in German one could really translate it into either classical or medieval Latin. Personally I am inclined to go with classical.
I have also heard this translated into modern English as well as Elizabethan English.
I also wanted to make a point that if you listen to some well known tenors you will notice they do not all pronounce the same way either.
Either way this is an exquisite rendition. Absolutely beautiful. Would like to hear the second verse sung as well. this recording really stands alone and does not need embelishments but I would like to hear it recorded in a studio.
What do ye think of my effort, the JS Bach/Charles Gounod version? I do it Phil Collins style (flat voice). Try url ending on xxXVS7ndYio or 4ViVshlYVk8. RJ
HOnestly, to sing like you do, to be able to express emotions with a voice that's almost hypnotizing is truly amazing. Not only that you seem like a pretty good guy. Keep doing what your passionate about.
Love it, you have a great voice. Honestly, when i saw the still image of the video i said to myself :"Ok, lets see another one pretending he can sing" What a surprise i came across, as i listened to your voice, very clear and musically acurate. Not to mention the good air control. Thank you for not being a mediocre artist.
