  • That little laugh at 2:49, oh God

  • Amazingly talented man...and honestly? He wouldn't have to do much talking *me* into it.

  • Is this from his new project? It's called Prefaces to Shakespeare.

  • I don't see the flaw in his offer

  • I'd take him up on his offer... Just sayin'

  • Is it just me, or is the picture and sound out of time?

  • ohmygod. So, basically, he's saying that to save her brother's life, she has to become a whore. Duude.

  • I love Angelo. I love David Tennant. I love his Scottish accent. I love this!!! I typed in "measure for measure angelo" and FREAKED OUT when I saw David Tennant's name. Typical David, doing EVERYTHING BRILLIANTLY. <3

  • Acting = Great. Cinematography = *facepalm*

  • OMG!!! Spectacular reenactment of this scene!! best one I've seen yet. This is a great reference for the performance I'm working on for my acting class!! Thanks soooooooo much for the post!!!!

  • Good job!

  • ooft david tennent

  • oohh the tension

interesting that he kept his natural accent for this

and interesting director's choice to make him practically rape her XD

  • david tennant said sex... 5:25

  • what's the actress' name again please?

  • Add'tl. comment... Measure for Measure isn't performed as often as Shakespeare's other, more well-known works. Grand to see it here and so well done!

Would love to see any other performances by David that are available!

  • David was with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and did indeed, do Hamlet. He is considered one of Britain's finer Shakespearean actors. It is said his Hamlet was something else. Would that I could've seen it. These bits are truly something worth watching... thanx eversomuch for posting here.

  • @RippersPet - You can buy it on DVD

  • love the acting :D:D love it

  • Apparantly it was A six-part documentary series about presenting Shakespeare today. The episode titles highlight the broader themes in Shakespeare, while the contents focus down on a particular play, or even scene, highlighting that theme. King Lear, A Midsummers Night's Dream, Henry V, As You Like It, and Measure for Measure are featured.

As far as i know this is the only part that features David Tennant - unless anyone here knows differently

  • Thanks so much Cassandrakitten for stealing my video and passing it off as your own!!!

I uploaded this on the 20th September, and you subscribed to my videos and took this and reposted it as your own!

Kindley remove this and all the others of mine you have reposted, you know which ones they are.

  • Whoa - is this on DVD or something? I'd like to get my hands on this!

  • It's Measure For Measure - hence the title!

  • what play are David Tennant and that actress quoting from? It sounds Shakespearan, but what's the play? Is it Hamlet?

  • Its Measure for Measure by Shakespeare
