Randy was a much better guitar player than Zakk could ever be.Ozzy just got tired of Zakk's same old same old,Zakk was'nt challenging himself for quite a while.

OH BTW Ozzy needs to keep Sharon away from the new guitar player.We all know what's up :)

Zakk got too comfortable with his style;and YES,Black Rain did sound like BLS.Muddy;cruddy;low tuning crap that was bogging down the Ozzy sound we all know too well.Zakk needs to go back to the woodshed and bring out those compositions he has in his head;that delve into the classier metal compositions;I think Ozzy may be trying to retain that 80's Randy magic...He's not getting any younger...This may be his chance to retain some old glory.

ahh much of the 80's music sucked IMO! Black Sabbath (with Ozzy) kicked ass. Ozzy's 80's solo stuff? It wasn't really my cup of tea. I'd rather listen to BLS than any 80's or early 90's Ozzy song.

Hopefully;he has tapped into a young eager;hungry guitar player that can add a new light onto Ozzy's voice.One that has chops to spare and a musical angle that can bring Ozzy back to the Blizzard days of glory.Zakk ws good for what he did;but he got stuck in the bar chord;munch;crunch;beer drinking metal that Ozzy pretty much got bored with.Black Rain can be played by any beginner guitar player in weeks;whereas Blizzard and Diary has guitar players in awe.Better compositions and guitars.PERIOD.

Most people DO go just to see Zakk, the only good thing about the Black Rain album is the guitar playing. But, Ozzy gave Zakk a great chance at an AMAZING life when Zakk was just 19 and it would be cool if Ozzy gave another young guy that same chance. Music is ever-changing and people find their own styles and Zakk has clearly found his, maybe Ozzy will produce another great young guitar player.
