You need to teach the guy that nose dived how to pitch his truck XD. Gas for forward rotation and brake for back rotation.

Revo and Tmaxx are track trucks. They are lower to the ground, wider wheelbased and take corners better on the track than a savvy can, at stock. HPI is better for bashing out-of-the box. I work down at my buddies hobby shop doing repairs in my spare time and majority of the vehicles in there for repairs are traxxas. HPI just has better bashing parts.

hey does your savage get very dirty on the exhaust side

@rigthguard420 It does, theres a little oil that comes out the exhaust and it will coat the side. Dirt is then attracted to the oil and it makes it quite messy. Most people who want to avoid this problem get the silicone exhaust ti[s which help guide the oil down into the ground more.

great video!!! i bought a used hpi savage 25 chassis for 60 dollars since i already had the f4.6 and k4.6 i bought the roller, its missing a few things but nothing too bad i finally got all the parts i needed just waiting on the body but i cant wait to get this thing going i just hope i can adjust the transs correct, love the video man!!

The first rc i ever bought is a savage limited, done some upgrades, metal suspension, integy piggybacks, pipe and filter, i beat the living hell out of my savage, ripped 2 diffs out, until i learned that i had tore the inside of the bulkhead up...carb started screwin up last year...been in the bag since. Great spot and video, cool jumps.

@hesthecoolkidd12 performance is a overalrating. the 3.3 engine has a billion revs, hence why it snaps rods... hence why traxxas have their replacement deal. because its low quality. im not saying the F4.6 engines are good its just u never hear about hpi rods snapping compared to the 3.3s

you know...every one says the savage is about as tough a truck as you can get....well i got a t-maxx, a revo, and a savage....and my experience has shown me the exact opposite of everything i have been told...i would list them like this....toughest to weakest.....revo, tmaxx, then savage....got all 3 of them within a week of each other and they all go through about the same punishment...only prob with the revo are the front pushrods are very exposed so the get bent and broke often...

@pugs2300 Thats awesome you have had such great luck....but the stats don't lie...out of the tens of thousands sold the Savage blows away the results you have had...I'm very happy for you as I love the revo and the tmaxx is kule...but they usually break long, long....long before a savage does.

We have beat the crap out of all of them and traxxas usually breaks on the front lawn never mind a jump LOL

@warranqe thats too bad for you....but ive had all three myself for about a year....and the savage breaks more than either of them....like i said before the only thing that ever happens to the revo is those damn pushrods in the front..the get bent up pretty good..but ever since i upgraded to the aluminum ones at least the won't break..they just bend..only trouble i've had out of my tmaxx is i hit a tree and broke the bulkhead...but by far the savage stays out of commission more than any of them.

@pugs2300 I've owned most brands of monster truck and out of them my savages always ran better and broke less than my traxxas stuff. Losi makes a pretty tough truck so does AE. I've owned 2 and just bought a 3rd savage and my second lst2. The only traxxas I own is a mini slash. There is a good reason for that lol. @pugs2300 that may ber your expiriance, but as for me, i've never broken anything that would compramize the truck ( savage X ) i've owned the savage x since the day it was released, i bash it almost every weekend at the local scate park, parks, street , school yard and construction sights. i jump and bash alll the time !!!

the only thing i've even "broken"

- ripped out the disk brakes once

-blew out 2 shocks

-1 cross member between the chasis plates

-shreded 1 tire

-cracked a rim

@pugs2300 oh an of coarse i've shreded a few spur gears maby 3 or 4 thats all, the disk brakes got caught on a branch, the shock blew out cuz they were 3 yrs old and i landed a huge jump ( maby 20-25 ft ) the rim craked when i rolled the truck and hit a curb at around 30 mph and the tire shreded because my dog bit the tire and around 4 weeks later it shreded under abuse lol

@CemetaryGatesML its like anything else i guess...results may vary...lol...im happy with all three of the trucks...they all perform well...i just have not had the best of luck with my savage...i usually run the revo and i got the other two for my wife and her boy...but we usually trade out every little while....one thing i don't like at all about the savage...its 10 times louder than the others...its a 4.6 i know its a bigger motor but my lord that thing is loud as damn it...lol...happy bashing

take a closer look at the traxxas plastic... it brakes under a little weight. the hpi stuff bends... then bends back... even under extreme strain. dont get me started abotu chassi flex...

yup the savage is only good for bashing not racing had the biggest model they made with a axial 32 it was a monster so big it was slow to me it hat 6 inch high tires with flame pattern traded it got a  slash with a 2.4 gh radio gear

yess im defintly loving the truck..i got the truck from a hobby shop called stanbridges in Western Australia which is where i live..the reason it took me a while to get into the hobby is because rc is very expensive down here in aust, and i wanted to get a quality truck not just some chinese rip off..

Right on, dfinately mod it up with some hop-ups ! I think you should go with the Losi LST XXL......I would say the LST2(which I have), but it's discontinued, although some online hobby shops do still carry it so if you can find I would go the LST2 ! Losi Rules !
