Thanks for such a quick reply, I live in the UK and will try and get the cd. Perhaps you can tell me if the original Christmas Jollies by the Salsoul Orchestra is available on cd, the one I have is the awful remix but I still have the original LP which is very worn, the greatest christmas record ever.

Great artist and slide-photo. I did play your music in communist Poland back in the mid '70 and had troubles with secret political police because of that. You know deejays behind Iron curtain in '70 were communist system enemies, because they popularise "imperialist world" music. Stupid but in '70 here in Poland it was fact ...

For me, you and all the musicians that created this sound is the reason I became musician in the first place. The reason why I enjoy music so much which otherwise would be bland for me. I'd like more of that. There's people like DJ Meme, Roberto De Carlo, Sir Piers, Let's not forget the one and only Dimitri from Paris, and other who care and enjoy this sound which is so difficult to come through nowadays when music is so polluted by soul-less and artificial cr*p...

Would it be possible, has it been tried, to continue the legacy of Salsoul as it is? Let's say, grab the correct people (be it newer musicians who know and have studied the sound and groove, or the original ones), the correct studio with the gear and the engineers that also know the 'how' and get to record more songs with the exact same sound, recording and mixing techniques, cut it to vinyl... All entirely analog, and do more? I enjoy life more because of the existence of all you people.
