Can this help with eye and vision diseases and condition? I was born with Cone Dystrophy or Achromatopsia which is where the cone cells in my retina are not functioning. As my eyes can't filter high energy light as well as most people could this potenially be harmful to me? tThanks great video by the way :)
I sungazed Like a little too early... about 6-7pm and the sun went down around 8-9pm... and i felt some burning sensations in my eyes... now 2 weeks later... and i still have a white light in my focal point ( where i focus my vision)... i think its important to emphasise when encouraging others to sungaze... that they do it at sunrise or sunset...when the UV rays are LOWEST. and to not push if the eyes are burning... man... now anyone got any advice?
@lilylandis -- true, and I don't think this video is going to help anyone "do not look at the sun at 3:40pm like this solartic (xD) is doing." You guys have to look more into this stuff before you go out and do it. The sun will always be harmful to your eyes in the time between about 55 minutes after sunrise up until about 55 minutes before sunset. And you shouldn't necicarily look at it as much and as long as you can at the very start. Look into things before you do them...
Safe sungazing please: 1st hour at sunrise and sunset when the uvs are below 2, always check your uv index first:) this is a lovely view of our sun <3
Hi Krista, can you provide an update on how sungazing is enhancing your life? How long have you been doing this, and what benefits do you notice? Thanks! <3
I have the most amazing and real crush on you Christa. Do you think it would be too much to ask that one day we can actually talk? Do you Skype? Send me a private message and let me know, please...
You are the sunshine. You take my breath away, every single time.
You can stare at the ball of the sun with your naked eyes? It's good for you! Well I never......I am going to try this right now, as I drink a big glass of beet, celery, green juice. This is crazy! Ha!
I took your advice and gazed at the sun for hours until it disappeared...everything disappeared...and now I had to ask my sister to type this to you, just to thank you for being such a wonderful person.....I am just being silly here...you seem like a truly beautiful person and I do look at the sun for just a second or two...I really like to see its power bouncing off of the moon at night...truly magical.....and I also have 20/20 vision..
When I gaze at the sun it's like watching a special effects light show. With unusual colors pulsing from the sun. Do you have a similar experience? I experience this consistantly during early morning hours. I do not have much sun gazing experience and have not tried in the evening. It is a very spiritual experience for me.
Krista I haven't seen any new research that this doesn't hurt your eyes. When I was young I use to peek at the sun out of curiosty but filtered through my fingers. Could you link the information that this can be safely done? I am worried about your future eyesight my sweet new friend. You want to see the notes for your beautiful music playing in the future, don't you?
I think that by only gazing during the hour at sunset or sunrise is the safest. HOWEVER, since I found out about it, I gaze when ever I am outside. It feels INCREDIBLE! When I was juice feasting I really felt sensitive to it. It gave me chills. I dont understand it but it felt GREAT!
Appreciate every thing you do Krista. Hope you are happy. Regarding the sun. I am older, and have macular degeneration, from too much sunlight without sunglasses when young. I have very light colored eyes, which contributes to sensitivity to sunlight, so, be careful!
Looking directly at the sun for even brief periods of time may cause blindness or severe damage to the eye.Solar retinopathy, damage to the eyes retina due to solar radiation, and blindness to varying degrees and persistence frequently result from sungazing during a solar eclipse. Exposure to ultraviolet radiation, produced by the sun, is associated with damage to the eye, including pterygium and cataracts.
Sungazing is a practice that includes gazing at the sun for the purpose of purported nourishment or spiritual practice. Looking into the sun is dangerous, and can cause solar retinopathy and lead to permanent eye damage or blindness.
When me and my brother were young we had sun staring contests, luckily my brother won, which is probably why his eyes are worse than mine; little idiots~ ;b
I'm loving all your videos. You're even more inspirational than dan. I was just about to go get taco bell before I saw this. Now I'm going to sunbathe in the snow with a bottle of green juice!
What were you laughing at? *confuzzled* *mwwuuaahhhhh* ha ha love that you're watching sungazing videos baby, Imma be sungazing with YOUUUUUUUUUU SOOOOOOON ♥ ♥ ♥ *gazes absent-mindedly into the rising sun* *trips up* *FAINTS*
wow...you actually managed to capture on film the rainbow beams I am always talking about you can only see when you look a certain way with your eyes...maybe cause you are closer to the sun than I am in AK
Hi Krista..U go girl..I loved the vid, you are not shy when you are filming, maybe you should do more vids like this one, showing us what you see, the nature arround your place is so beautiful, I'll make one video response for you in a sec and show you my sun. Kiss! PD: agree! your voice is relaxing!
I used to stare at the sun for almost a year but things started happening to me that made me stop...I don't want to dissuade anyone from doing it but try not to do it too much at high noon lol
Later in the afternoon (around 4-5) usually is best you can open your eyes wide and see it and feel the energy!!
When you I see you on the video, it's like I am seeing a little slice of sunshine. Does that count? It feels like it does. I took your advice, and sungazed today. Now everything has a big black spot in the middle of it when I look at it and close my eyes too. Please show yourself in your videos more, you're truly a beauty to behold and you lift my spirit and fill my heart with light. Thank you for making this video. I have to go rinse my eyes with cool water again. Love you Krista!
You are sweet. ;-) Now please tell me you're not still seeing a big black spot...hopefully you didn't gaze too long...but I'm sure you'll recover...next time, no need to push yourself too hard, just a few seconds will do...and better to do it within 2 hours of sunrise or sunset...just remember, it is not a sun gazing competition, lol. Just listen to your body & your intuition and you can't go wrong. xoxo ;-)
when is it safe Krista to sun gaze.. i can during sunset as we live up high and i take my son with me... but is it not dangerous to stare at noon sun say? i cannot do it! my eyes hurt!
Yes, your intuition is correct, noon sun is NOT the time to sun gaze. The so-called sun gazing experts say within 2 hours of sunrise or sunset are the ideal times...the UV rays are less at those times too. So for example this vid I did about 9:30am which was just at the 2 hour mark from sunrise which was around 7:30. And only do it literally for a few seconds...especially in the beginning...only when/if your eyes feel good gazing longer should you actually gaze longer-just listen to your body ;)
Thanks for that... i watched the sunset last night and it turned a deep orange.. OMG it was gorgeous! i wear glasses but i generally gaze at the sun with the naked eye... it is a magical part of the day.. sunrise and sunset. My favourite! xx
Q: Is it also safe to walk off a tall cliff or building because you say it is safe?
A: Unable to answer, as I never said such a thing was safe, nor did I ever even so much as touch upon the concepts of walking, cliffs and/or buildings in this video. Perhaps you need to address one of the voices in your head for the answer to this one. Sorry I couldn't help.
Just sounds very dangerous to stare at the sun. I was being flippant when I made the walking off a cliff or building remark. Had no idea you took that comment seriously. My oppologizies.
No worries, it's just a technique I use when people say weird things: I just take what they say at face value & respond to them as such. Obviously, one should exercise common sense when looking at the sun. Yes, it would be dangerous to stare at the sun for a long time, but your eyes would tell you that long before it got to that point. I only looked at the sun for the duration of this vid, which was as long as it felt right for me at the time & I didn't have my eyes wide open; I peacefully gazed
This is like a scene from David Lynch film
