NES version of "Popeye" is pretty easy - and like many other classics by Nintendo, misses some elements from the original arcade versions (like it's missing the hamburger guy in the 2nd stage, no Brutisk sliding towards Olive Oil with flowers at the beginning, etc.).
Ah yes the good old days, the 80's. When rap music didnt need explicit lyric stickers, ted turner still owned tbs, video games were still mostly played in arcades and starcade had not yet become an idea to get more people to attend nwa/wcw wrestling matches.
Hell yea it was. I dumped so much coin into this game. I love playing it on MAME, & a like comparing ports to all the other systems (& playing them on emulators) It is 1 of my favorites, along with Donkey Kong & DK jr, Frogger, Crazy Climber, Elevator Actions, Journey Escape, Berzerk, Front Line. Ok, let's just say, most of the games from the "Golden Age of Arcade (& video) Games". Shoot me if you want, but although I do like the Pacman line, it is not at the top of my list of favorites.
The arcade version was harder to me. I was pretty good on nes though.

Were those first two guys who played gay? They sure looked like it to me.

@mcog2006 I don't know. Geoff forgot to ask them during the interview at the start.

Popeye!
One of the best arcade games ever!
The 80's were the best - music, video games, movies - the best time ever!

Actually, regarding NWA/WCW, the two overlapped. "Starcade" the game show was still in production when Starrcade the supercard came along.

Worst Popeye impression ever, although he got the laugh right. XD
Aside from that, this game is actually a piece of history, as it was one of Nintendo's first arcade games, other than Radar Scope and Donkey Kong.
