Just because it doesn't have an extended story mode or the boring RPG from SC3, doesn't make THAT much of a difference. I recently played the older SC games, and i was suprised at how outdated they look compaired to SC4.
@Rousalaine Are you serious? I love the series as much as the next guy, but if you loved SoulCalibur IV because it had HD then you must not really care for the series. I bet you have it for the PS3. Cause you love God of War, Assassin's Creed, and Call of Duty because they all have HD graphics.

Ass Creed makes me fall asleep, i don't play shit like Call of Duty because i have no interest in FPS war games, specially when they glorify the US army, and i absolutely hate Kratos. He may have been called the god of war and slayed all of the old gods, but the day he entered the Soul Calibur Universe he got his ass kicked by a little 14 year-old redheaded girl named Amy.

You said that the game was ten time better than the other ones by the graphics. Yeah you're right but to compensate they had to take out almost any creativity they could of had for the characters story line. They couldn't even make a great profile selection. You gotta admit, that SCII's profile system was pretty cool (and fun) to use.
Cool :) I just think the soundtrack to Soul Edge was absolutely outstanding. Same with the original Tekken soundtrack on PS. They were such a huge part of the charm of these awesome games. I wish all games today made so much effort!

Yes. But the shadow evades can be overwhelming when mixed with preparation, and they also look very stylish. As for evading low attacks in a stylish way, you gotta use the kick from preparation. I forgot its name -_-, but it's like a jumping pirouette stomping move. I do prefer the new Raph, cause he seems more 'unique' than the previous one. You can press the enemy a lot more now and it's more like the actual Rapier discipline, I guess.
Note that his kick from preparation allows him to slightly sidestep some verticals moves too!
yes his stance allows him to be generally more aggressive, which is good due to his ability to maintain spacing. But I liked him do his ability to counter-attack from disadvantage, and the reliability of auto-evades.
The preparation kick from SC4, or from SC3? In either case, I had no idea. Thx a lot for the info.
There was a serious problem with those SC3 auto evades. It works against horizontal mid attacks, even if the evasion for mid attacks is a sidestep. So the attack actually hits Raphael... but doesn't. It was like he was a ghost and it looked awful. This problem was solved in the new Raphie :)

This song has the same effect on me as the original English opening theme of Pokemon: It's such nostalgia and it gets me so pumped! xD
