Content aware is used with spot healing brush, with the lazo tool etc! go to the min 0:50 of the video and you will see that he uses spot healing brush in the "normal" way u could use in cs4 and shows it does not a good job, but if you use it and you activate content aware looks like its working perfectly, but it doesnt! i tried.

I don't know if you are old enough to remember a very steady and lucrative publishing production job that ran three shifts a day...It was called: TYPESETTER. That job was replaced by DTP.

You have to look at it as Content-Aware Fill, freeing up the more time for the photographer to spend being creative rather than spending it implementing the mechanics of the creativity.

Although it is very cool, because it was close to the edge it didn't do an acceptable job on the trash, I can still see a shadowy smudge where they were. The same thing that happens if the spot healing tool is used near an edge in CS4. I usually switch over to the clone tool or patch tool then.

Sorry guys. That'll never work on a higher level of quality. Even on the video one can see that there are some remains and hard edges where he used the tool.

A whole tree can't simply disapear. No algorithm in the world can do that.

A "simple" gradient is quite difficult to fill in a really professional way. Even the smallest deviation from perfect gradient is visible to the eye.

I still say : This "gimic" is nice for hobby shooters and for newspaper quality. But pretty useless for serious high quality pro photos.

Sometimes people strive too much for perfection I think. If you're not content with the photo, I say "Go back there and take better shots."
