Well to me, this is a song about a woman who lives on her own, but must return home when her father has died. At his funeral, she feels that she and her mother will never get over it, but a few months/years later she meets a man who she falls in love with and marries. but before this mysterious man, she must saty home and forget her fears to care for her mother.

Oh, thank you for sharing that:) I never bothered looking at the lyrics because her singing failed to catch my attention (due to what I mentioned abotu not understanding her phrasing), so I kinda just drifted from her songs. you see, it's been over a year I posted those comments and in that meantime, I managed to get more acquainted with her body of work, which I find just really good, so I see what you say about how she has improved:) her lyrics are gorgeous!:)
