  • Thank you for sharing and helping to preserve the history of TWA.

  • @twaladybug Thank you for your kind comment. Thanks for taking time to watch my #TWA video I do appreciate it. TWA was a fine airline with a huge amount of history. It was because of TWA that I became interested in aviation.

  • this was where my love for aviation began as well! i grew up in St. Louis!

  • @muzikman183 @TWA Video - Thanks for your comment muzikman183, it's nice to hear of another person that became interested in aviation because of TWA. Thanks for watching.

  • my Favorite airlines ever best airline ever

  • @Blueman1018 Thanks for watching my TWA Trans World Airlines @stlouis #aviationvideo I appreciate it.

  • Of the airlines that I have travelled on, TWA was definitely THE BEST!

  • @DennyAlbert Hello DennyAlbert thanks for your comment, and thanks for watching. Simply put, I agree with your comment entirely.

  • Its still is used so why ''GoodBye'' you just stink

  • @clagghead What an odd thing to say. Quite how I "stink" I'm not sure. Perhaps you've met me and didn't like my brand of aftershave, who knows. Anyway, in answer to the part of the point that I could understand, no TWA is not still used. The brand ceased in 2001.

  • @clagghead Seriously learn a little before commenting. You 'stink'

  • dont let comments like Titanic's get to you that was just stupid. I live in stlouis and work for AA....TWA was a great airline with a great track record...how carl icahn is still walking ill never know. Loved me some L-1011 !!!

  • AA did a great job of shafting the TWA employees. AA isn't called the "Sky Nazis"for nothing.

  • Im Glad That TWA Was Sold Out To AA. AA Is WAY Better Than TWA. AA Rules!!! TWA Sucks!

  • @Titanic0422 that thought took a lot of thinking about. I'd probably reconsider your comments about who's great and who's not, afterall with a name like Titanic it doesn't bode too well. But having said that, each person is entitled to their own view!

  • @Titanic0422 AA/AMR has her own "HELL" awaiting for her!

UA/CO & DL/NW are going to eat her up alive, her style!

    ACQUIRE & LIQUIDATE! ( TransCarinbean & TWA)

In the "consolidation game" UA/CO & DL/NW have taken care of business AA's game she played on TWA's crews that were furloughed "conveniently" during 9/11 to get them off the payroll roasters will come back to hunt them on their demise when they are absorb by USAir the strong player, they will be taken over and faced into the sunset :-)

  • @TWTR4EVER Hello TWTR3EVER thanks for watching my TWA video and for your comments.

  • @bananamanuk No my friend, thank you for your work!

    I flew for TWA, based in JFK Terminal 5 & 6 Hangar # 12 - International 1976 to 1988!

  • @TWTR4EVER I'm hugely grateful to read your comments, especially as a former employee of TWA. I've had many people message me over the years from TWA and appreciate every single one.

  • @TWTR4EVER Hey Hector!, Those were the Days!, Just the 2 of us, Two Gay Puerto Rican Trolly Dolly's Pushing our Carts & Hitting the Disco the Minute we Landed!

  • @TWTR4EVER So Glad you moved on without Malice & Bitterness, It broke my Heart when they Terminated you!, But Amtrack certainly hit the Jackpot when you joined their ranks!

  • It goes to show how STUPID corporate America has gotten to be. The CEO of American Airlines had plans to buy TWA and cut thier own routes just to stuff money into his silly little pocket!

  • Well done presentation

  • @vanlevy2008 thank you vanlevy2008

  • i grew up in Missouri and TWA was a huge part of not only the economy but the culture. I remeber going out the st louis in the summer time. You go to a cardinals game, then off to the hill for some pizza, and then just as the sun was setting, you go out to Lambert and watch all of them come in. when I mean all, I mean all of the fleet would eventually land in STL. Just about any and all aircraft that was made by MD or Boeing was apart of the TWA fleet. Now other than SWA, STL is a puddle stop

  • @missourioregon A lovely comment missourioregon, thank you.

  • do you still have any dvd's left?

  • @tonightwefly Hello tonightwefly, thanks for your question.

Yes I do, available via my website.

  • @bananamanuk when I go to the checkout it goes into dollars, even thou I have clicked the UK version do I pay it in dollars?

  • @tonightwefly hi tonightwefly, sorry for any confusion, the checkout is in dollars because it's a pay pal service. A payment will be converted in international currencies automatically... that means you pay the US$ value on screen but that is converted to your local currency and more importantly the local exchange rate. The sterling rate will be around £7.00 I hope that helps.

  • It's been nearly 10 years, And I can still picture KSTL B, C and D gates full of White Fuselages with Red Stripes...THose were the days! Having been Born and Raised near STL, TWA was truly a home town Airline, and not just that, for many, it was family... We STILL MISS YOU TWA... (T)hat (W)onderful (A)irline... "They" may have your planes and gates, but they can never duplicate your history!

  • @kellylcrisman Hello kellylcrisman thanks very much for watching my TWA video and for your thoughtful comment. I appreciate it.

  • @wizzair1313 for.... fot taking the time to comment.

  • i remember i flew TWA a lot ahh the good ol days.

  • @wizzair1313 thanks wizzair1313

  • @balboa62 We're left w/ a dying breed of airlines who merge, no more continental & Northwest, they sold out to Delta & United. What's next, Southwest & UsAir??

  • @NIGHTWHMAN thanks for your comment nightwhman it's sad they way so many airlines are getting swallowed up into bigger and bigger entities.

  • @balboa62 Hi balboa62, the days of TWA and Pan Am seem long gone sadly. Thanks for your comment.

  • Its hard to loose a natinal airline us brits lost first choice a great great best voted airline

  • @danbroad9 Hi danbroad9 I think it's sad when any airline disappears, it must be even harder for the people that tried to make the airline a success, then an airline that has a long and rich history - well that's worse still. Thaks for your comment.

  • AA is awful compared to the once great TWA !! Yhey had great service and airplanes form the Connei to the 747.

  • @monte61 It's certainly true Monte61 that TWA was a pioneering airline with a very rich history. I know AA has that as well, but there's no sentimenality there, nothing to recognise TWA - I mean even JetBlue kept the TWA sign on T5 at JFK, mind you I think there's quite a few TWAers at JetBlue...

  • Disaster when AA came to St. Louis and destroyed TWA and its great people.

  • @TheGordie09 Thanks a lot for your comment TheGordie09, I think there would be a lot of agreement with your thoughts here. Its a shame AA didn't do more to recognise TWA as well.

  • I would have loved to fly TWA never got to! I would have loved to fly in a 727!

  • @pianomanmaestro Hi pianomanmaestro, thanks for watching and commenting. There's no question that TWA's people made it a great airline. I was lucky enough to fly on a 727 from STL to ORD but had an aisle seat as the flight was full and they had already bumped a few others so we were split all over the plane, still it was an experience

  • its so weird they went out of business in late 2001 yet i cant recall ever seeing a TWA plane in real life

  • I am sad because i live in St. Louis, and Lambert is now deserted. AA is cutting STL as a focus city.

  • @SonicRaptorX Hello SonicRaptorX I've read a lot about how much STL has been downsized. I really can't imagine just how different it mus now be. It's sad TWA is no longer around.

  • @bananamanuk Hey, at least Southwest is replacing AA is the major carrier in St. Louis, I hope SWA makes STL a focus city.

  • As an ex- TWA Flight Attendant it really warms my heart to see these wonderful shots! We take such pride in knowing so many people enjoyed being a part of that truly special time. I wish we could do it all over again somehow, but thanks to you and others who have provided us these wonderful memories to enjoy along with you! TWA was so special, from our people to our customers. Thanks for making my dreams come true years ago.

  • Hello nycflyer, there's nothing i can say to your comment other than Thank You, very eloquently put, I am glad you enjoyed the short clips here on Youtube.

  • @nycflyer

I used to fly TWA in the 80''s and early 90's LGA-STL-LAS (and reverse on the way home. Occasionaly, I would take the JFK-PHX-LAS evening flight, too. I have many fond memories of flying with my family on TWA to visit my uncle in Vegas, and will miss the early morning LGA-STL segment on the L1011 we used to often take.

  • @diapermanful Thanks very much for your comment, there are so many people with fond memories of TWA, it's nice to read yours as well. Thanks for taking time to comment on my video.

  • A fine video, well done

  • Hello vanlevy2008, thank very much for commenting on my video of TWA. I appreciate it, and am pleased your enjoyed.

  • RIP TWA and Pan Am.

  • Hi Bananana for some reason it would'nt let me post on the London City Vid - The TWA DVD is briliant, I put it on when i have a bad day and it makes me remember all of my flights with TWA. Some of the my memories make me very sad, I just cannot believe TWA was destroyed like it was. Such history and passion was wiped out in days. There will never be another TWA.

  • TWA was certainly a great airline. I am originally from St. Louis and remember fondly when TWA had their hub at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. When AA took over TWA, they took the hub away, costing jobs, flights and all sorts of things. I worked for TWA for a couple of months before the takeover by AA was announced...... I really do miss TWA...... It was a sad day when they left us........

  • St Louis really did a lot for TWA. I am surprised that so few people remember things like the TWA Dome, the huge hub with something like 500+ flights a day. I thought that the St Louis hub was one of the profitable parts of the TWA system in terms of operations. Very sad that a pioneer in so many ways can just be wiped clean from the aviation world consciousness.

  • my date of hire was on 752006 and I was a flight attendant and then a Flight service Manager. My years with TWA Were awesome and I miss the folk I worked with. Great video.. you caught the heart of TWA for sure! :)

  • hello bearnshorty10, thanks very much for your comment, it is always nice to hear from people that worked for TWA, I am really pleased you like the video.

  • Nice my love for aviation began on a TWA L1011 in 1991 (JFK-San Juan)

  • Hi warriordriver, thanks for your comment, and nice to see that TWA captured your imagination too, like you, my interest in aviation began aboard a TWA 767, a few years earlier in 1988. Sad they are no longer around.

  • nice

  • can i buy a copy too? im from england, ild pay anything to have this on dvd

  • i would like to buy the video how can i?

  • WOW! Great vid! VERY GOOD Quality!

  • Thank you for your last trip on the best Airline ever.
