why keep flare ground bound? doing one in the air produces a slower version. the two encroaching flares make it easier to corner and trap the enemy so his use would be more effective. tbh his, exdeath and jecht provide some interesting gameplay compared to most characters the heroes are the worst with their predictable and bland attacks you can barely expect a decent gameplan change with them, they get boring too easily

The thing with The Emperor is that you have to set up enough traps and distractions to make sure you can activate Starfall. Only someone who doesn't know how to play Emperor well will screw up a Starfall. It's really not that hard to do.

Also, Emperor's pretty good, just has a relatively steep learning curve for those who don't know how to play. You want a horrible character, try Ultimecia.

I just unlocked Emperor today. Holy hell, the guy is awesome. I have the Flare Offense/Defense going: Ground Flare to attack my opponent with Air Flare as a defense against attacks. I stay in the Air Flare while doing Starfall to pull it off. Plus his trap move combined with Bombs and a Flare: you can break your opponent and then a Flare hits them right after.

His VA is perfect as well.

i dunno i like ultimecia. sure shes not really the most offensive character but she can make matches last and does it well and has a amazing ranged game imo. also has one of the best anti airs in the game, that is if you can figure out when to let it go lol

brave damage is different from hp damage in that you only lose brave points rather than hp. when you hit someone with an hp attack, you current brave points are done as damage to the opponent

Emperor actually has a good matchup against exdeath...One of the only characters that dont have too hard a time against him. If i get around to it ill post a vid of me playing my brothers exdeath

I main the emperor too, your playstyle looks just like mine except that I use a lot the magnetic ball. I was wondering if you had the same problem as me while fighting some clouds, they really are a pain in the ass for me :/

How hard is it to learn how to use him?

I'm interested in using him, but from what I read I was afraid he would be too technical. But from the looks of this video, he doesn't look terrible difficult.

hes not hard...except you have to know mind games and you gotta move the opponent around...memorize their moves so you know how they move and when they are open...also you need to learn how to dodge

Nice! This is the best Emperor video I've seen yet... ;) That meteor ability is badass, I was wondering when I'd get to see someone use it.

I'm trying to find a good video of Ultimecia now. As a cpu she blows the big one, on any difficulty, and I've yet to see anyone seriously use her. I want to see some of her higher lvl abilities. ;;
