Maplestory has some wierd religious symbolisms and references.

@Zablefhar the tree of zaqqum is a tree that has grown in hell (the muslims say so). The sinners have to eat from its fruit since its the only food in hell for the sinners. When they eat it it will burn their insides. This is why the npc's at the zakum map looks like arabian people and the huge red tree with the chains is standing for the zaqqum tree. the zakum map is a fiery place (fire and lava everywhere) so i think it stand for hell and the tree stands for zaqqum tree.
