  • Luckily you didn't see jesus lol

  • lol ich lach mich tod

  • Look at his hands 0:18, radio almost fly after the head LOL

  • So Jesus was with you!

  • Great post. Made me laugh. You were very cool looking at the rotors going sky high!

  • silly fat man...stick to the sofa

  • He looks like that nosey neighbour on Rita, Sue & Bob too! Lol

  • he looks like ron jeremy

  • wow so funny how long did it take for it to come back to earth

  • what i found so funny is how you were looking up to find the the head.

  • There are so many things that WILL go wrong during learning to fly R/C helis, and you know they are all potentially fatal. But this is just plain stupidity. The lead weights inside the main blades are bonafide projectiles when "let loose" Once, they hit the inside of my carhood (by chance it was opened...12 volts...) so the windscreen was saved! A minor "reversed" dent was the result.

  • has anyone been decapitated by rc before ? i know it is real easy to get killed by them but ya just wondering ? after reading this i began to wonder a little bit ?

  • if you wee standing above that it would take a good chunk of your head off.. scary shit ! and i found it funny where you were more worried about finding your rotor assembly than your raptor :D was any damage done to the blades ?

  • of all the things to forget... man that's scary stuff be safe

  • You checked everything twice and didn't notice the Jesus bolt was missing???? What exactly were you checking?

  • missing jesus bolt WILL definitely push the main head up with the blades. never out. unless the blade grips disconnect.

  • LOL

  • Wait for it... Wait for it...! Woosh! Gone are the blades. Awesome!

  • Wow

  • LOLOL That was probably the funniest thing ive ever seen about rc stuff

  • Houston we have lift off !!! ROTF LMAO

  • I am sorry but this cracked me up lol you are lucky man

  • Maybe blades autorotated back to ground!

  • Hes looking in the sky for like 15 seconds.....LOLOLOL....

  • @rockinar You know it would been even funnier if while he was looking up like a moron it came down and smacked him in his head.

  • @odam2k lol faty you haveint see me FATASS you like my mate shannon fatass ps you not just fat your a fucking moron

  • lol faty you haveint see me FATASS you like my mate shannon fatass ps you not just fat your a fucking moron

  • lol blades fly bettter without heli !! hey dood....ya need that booltt!!im amazed how long it stuck on.

  • It should be called the holly sh*t i just cr*pped my pants bolt!

    (glad your didnt get hurt)

  • dam i wonderd when i would see that happen you lucky

  • That could have been A LOT worse....especially if other people had been around.

  • glad to know they go up...i broke the bottom bolt once and it slammed it to the ground....luckily it was only 12-18 inches from the ground.. not even a boome strike.

    ;-)

  • done that b4

  • hehehe... This was REALLY funny... look at big buck standing there....looking..

  • That look the pilot gave when the rotor detatched...classic

  • You can killed a bird or mega mandy!!!

  • the look on your face is CLASS. you look into the sky, then at your heli (looking bemused) then into the sky again, was pissing myself

  • jajajajajajajajajaja

  • JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA

  • I know we shouldn't laugh cos all in this hobby know how dangerous models can be but your reaction when the blades depart company from the heli is classic!!! lol

I'm glad there was no real damage tho.

  • nice...

  • same sort of thing happens sometimes on my planes if the prop adapter is slightly loose, tho not as fast or big a 4in prop at 30krpm will still hurt and will go a fair way.

  • mmmm...what is that men...ja ja is very funny

    ja ja ja ja

  • ......oh ,it was a new game, flying blades)))))

  • still laughing man.. im sorry but still laughing

  • ich lach mich tot...lolololol..is das geil...lolololo

  • Fucking brilliant

  • The first time I watched the helicopter and I ducked. The next 100 times I watched your reaction and laughed until I cried.

  • BLADE STOP !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mahahahahahahahahahahaha sorry maha

  • really dangerous

  • OK......i thought this was HILARIOUS! The way u look up fin bewilderment at the blades shot off into the air. Its only hilarious cos u didnt get HURT. But geeez......how lucky are you????

Those jesus bolts are very handy indeed!

  • ahahhaha, the funniest video!!

  • good thing it was still on the ground. that was scary...

  • are u sad ? how much is that

  • Man so funny with the pilot looking up wondering if the head will be falling on his head

  • As a fellow RC heli pilot, I can sympathise but this is a little funny to watch!

  • damn dude... this is such a cool video - you're lucky you caught this on tape. thought about entering this to those funny videos on tv? you might get a prize!

  • hehe =)

  • And it never struck you funny, that you just couldn't get it off the ground even with collective in the positive and a headspeed of a gazillion rpms?

  • @ATLRCFlyer I was just inching the stick up very slowly.... it had high headspeed, but not a whole lot of pitch at that point, of course, without the weight of the heli, they took off like a rocket!

  • @odam2k The first time I watched the helicopter and I ducked. The next 100 times I watched your reaction and laughed until I cried.

  • @odam2k As the head went up it must have increased the pitch. That is why it flew up at light speed.

    :)

  • Надо же было ТАК.....:-D

  • I think this clip can be a good lesson for all of us who fly models. I had 7 flights so far, I think that I will do a bigger check of my heli. I go though links and bolts before flights, but a more thorough maintenance never hurts.

  • omg u lukcy didnt lose ur head off

  • hahaha

  • did you find the blades dude? they must have gone real high in the sky :D lol you cracked me up for an hour. :D

  • @alishanmao They did a nice auto into the grass not far from the heli. No damage except the 4 plastic links to the swash broke...

  • @odam2k Man you are lucky ;) they did not come at ya. Else we will be watching a headless guy with radio in his hands :D trying to find his head hahahah :) you are really lucky. For helis really, check everything before you fly my man

  • @alishanmao Believe me, it was a lesson well learned that day. The fact that the blades were already long gone before I even reacted to it shows just how fast it can happen, and if the blades went out instead of up, you wouldn't even notice it before one went through you! I am extra cautious these days.

  • @odam2k you should have given some money out to charity to say thank you to GOD that blades went up instead of coming at ya. you are totally right, with the speed they went up, it would have chopped you in two pieces and you would know. or even the Camera person. was there one? be always careful my man

  • @odam2k I guess I won't be buying anything second hand without dissecting the entire helicopter and doing a rebuild. Thanks for the warning through this video.

  • @odam2k The head was still together when you found it? Wow, you did the first successful heli-less auto!

  • @alishanmao DUDE ME TOO LOL I CANT STOP CRACKIN UP lol btw ali i subed to u love your vids

  • @DTXMNS224 LOL man, did you read comments above. WOW you did your first successful Heli Less Auto LOL its cracking me hahaha

  • LMAO... damn this was the coolest video ever.. Did you see how i was looking in the air after those blades.. hehe Great one

  • @ArcticRc that actually made me crack badly on how the guy was looking in the sky after the blades were gone. Damn hilarious. Can't stop laughing :D

  • Seen this a while back but it still brings a chill to my radio sticks. Very sorry for your loss but at least the bird didn't take a tumble. Nice work on the throttle hold switch. I wish you nothing but fun flying and safe landings. :)

  • Funny shit, but you move on and try not to let it get you down. People like kiwibob72 need not apply. IF you got nothing good to say. Fuck off.

  • @organdonor1962 Nice .... perhaps you should take a lesson from your own advice!

  • This could actually be a new game!

  • that's the funniest thing I've ever seen!! I flew once without the Jesus bolt but luckily never came off for an entire battery!

  • that's really funny! great video!

  • lol now that was funny

  • I laughed so hard I almost cried! Good video, thanks for your bravery in posting it.

  • The BEST 5*

  • at least your heli is one piece and on the ground.....

  • oh bob i had to pause and run off to the toilet , well well , is it all right now

  • That was awesome!

  • lol awesome, glad you were not hurt, i wanna see the blades flying!!

  • FANTASTIC .... I'm thinking rc heli's are perhaps not in your future!

  • Well, they definately are a big part of my future... why would you say that? You've never made a mistake? Must be nice....

  • Yep .. made plenty of mistakes over the years ... but when it comes to RC heli's - while I am still getting my flying skills to a level I'll be happy with, I know enough about them not being toys to ever allow me to make a mistake that careless! (regardless of how funny it was)

  • Well aren't you special :) You get to pick and choose your mistakes...

  • Nope, I'm not 'that' special at all .....

  • @kiwibob72 Mistakes are easily made when there is so much to check. I bought a Vario Bezine, looked to be meticulously built. As the machine had not been flown from new I still checked everything and all seemed fine. I was setting up the gyro when I gave it a little blip on the throttle and the head twisted on the main shaft popping the linkage rods off. The Jesus bolt was in but it was sat on TOP of the main shaft, not through it. The 2 side bolts did a good job holding the head on though!!!!

  • @kiwibob72 happens to the best of us, i nearly forgot my Jesus bolt once

  • That was awesome. Had me laughing hard

  • Congrats!

    Did u win any contests?

Just to remind: RC helicopters are not toys!

  • @pitchcurve Not yet, but only 3 days left in their contest... I have my fingers crossed.

  • damn funniest thing I have ever seen!!! lol

  • New class hobby.... lets go friends.... launch my new rotor blades !!!!

  • hauhauhauahuahuahuahauhauhauhauahua

  • C'est quel switch de la F8 qui fait faire ça ?????

  • You're the King :) I love the way you conscientiously keep your fingers on the sticks, looks like you're still piloting it ^^

  • AAAHHAAHAAAAaaaaaaa.... that's sooo funny I fell out of my chair laughing so hard. I love the way the pilot just looks helplessly up at the flyaway rotor then glances back at the poor heli sitting there headless.

    Thanks for the laugh!

  • too high rpm

  • der hat mal geil geguggt man XD zum schiessen

  • WOW! Talk about 'hang time!' Any idea what the peak altitude was? I was laughing so hard that my bird on my shoulder was laughing too!!!! Then he stopped and said: "What's so funny?" LOL!!!

    I rate this video a 9.99 :-)

  • And we have liftoff! :')

Man youre brave for posting such videos.

  • The Best :o)))

  • You are the best....Too funny... do you have any idea how meters the head did in the sky...

I still laugh ...thanks again ..

  • This is the funniest RC video I have seen.. I love the way user looks up into the sky..

  • wow, if this was gone in someones face..

  • UP...UP.. on the way....

  • Das ist die Härte ......hab ich noch nie gesehen so was...:-) ich mach mich nass.

  • FAIL!

  • Ich bau mir gerade auch einen Raptor .Wenn mir das passiert flieg ich vor Lachen hinterher.

    "ROFL"

  • Man that was some serious head speed...got lucky it didn't wack ya.

  • Classic. Couldn't stop laughing. You were staring at the sky for ten seconds before it came back down. Glad there wasn't any damage.

  • kkkk I Thing U forgot someting!

  • LOL

  • LOLOLOLOL Man thats funny

i got to try that with my 90 heli

  • WOW!!!!!!!

  • hhah ur lucky!

  • How do you drive the rotor head without a drive bolt? Don't the raptor blades go negative when the head departs the mast?

  • The 50 has a ring that tightens around the mast. That was enough to spin up the blades, since I added throttle slowly. Once the head left the mast, it was like one of those pull toys that you pull the plastic strip and it spins the blades... they went up about 60 feet or so, and came down softly in the grass...

  • Man that is some insane headspeed.. has to be at least 2200-2300 rpm

  • 2150. We tached it later. I've dropped it way way down for normal mode, I'm running a Futaba GV-1 governor on it now.

  • WOW that was funny, your face, did the blades break ?????

  • Nothing broken except the 4 plastic links to the swash plate...

  • I was laughing so hard I think I woke the neighbors...

yes I've had my own share of stupid mistakes. Rudder pushrod detached, gyro reversed, struggling with tail problems for a week when one tail blade was facing backwards. Once trying to fly with the pitch channel upside down (yes it -does- fly...)

  • Thank you for posting this! That was one of the funniest heli videos I have ever seen.

I am glad no one was hurt but I have to ask how high do you figure the head went?

  • I think it went about 60-80 feet in the air... I was worried it was going to land on the roof of a 2 story building right beside the parking lot... It was airborn for 13 seconds or so,

Glad you enjoyed it :) but it does show just how dangerous these things can be, it only takes one small mistake. Luckily the head stayed together once it came off.

  • "The funny" it hurts! :-)

I like how for just a split second you don't know what bit to keep an eye on!

  • lucky lucky boy, not to get hurt that is,

  • Funniest thing I've seen in a while. By the way did that eagle return the rotor head?

  • WOW!!!!!

    Thats all I can say.

    Everyone else said it all.

  • OOHHHhhh NOoooo!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for sharing, don't see that every day!

  • Some people are in too much of a hurry to see their heli fly and this sort of thing happens. Every time I fly a real aircraft I do a check, and when I fly my models (Heli's) ... I do the same... Dont forget to do a post flight check as well. Good luck with your flying.

  • This wasn't caused by rushing, heck it was two weeks after I rebuilt it till this was taken. I am extremely cautious in that regard. However, we are responsible for our own actions, and this is squarely my own fault. It is rather funny looking back onit, and watching the video, but some serious damage or injury could have happened, and I am fully aware of that, and am now even more cautious, even with my little 450's.

  • pheww lucky man.got to admit there was a slight moment of comedy watching you following the flight of the rotor head through the air but wow could that thing of hurt.

    hope its fixed soon.

  • Yes, in fact the whole time I was saying to myself "please don't land on the roof!" he he Very lucky indeed, fixed it when I got home last night, got my maiden flights in today, what an awesome machine!

  • Can you prevent something like this from happening, or is it because lack of inspection and thread lock adhesive!

  • I had just bought it used, and had put it all together, inspected it twice before I fired it up, just missed that bolt. I did not have it installed. It just shows how careful you must be.
