ahh yea chilean rose hairs are so hit and miss... some are really docile and some are really aggressive luckily i can handle mine no problems ..i think most dealers will recommend them because they're readily available and cheap but i would buy into that ...the best first time tarantula for beginners in my opinion would be the brachypelma smithi (mexican red knee)
my rose is a tepermental girl too, not quite on the same level as yours, but i do have to be very watchful if im doing anything in her encloser, bc if i accidently move my hand to close to her she threatens and moves towards it and has struck at me b4, luckily only had a "close call" so far, im not really interested in how her bite feels. But anyways great T's, new world terrestrials are my fav
cool, how quickly do chacos grow anyway? i was on a website and it said they grow at a medium speed but everyone knows how nuch you can trust the internet, lol
the 3 babies that in the deli containers were raised for about a year from 1/2 inch slings. My larger one was a 1.5 inch specimen, took about 2 years to reach double the size.
Grammy are a bit slower growers. Aureostriata do grow quicker than G.rosea, so I would assume good ball park figure is that you would have an adult female within 5 years
your future breeding project will be using aureostriata? sorry if i spell it incorrectly, its not legal to ship over the Canada-U.S. border is it? lol if its legal, how much could i buy one off of you for? btw what providence do you live in?
Ya, its only legal if you own a fish and wildlife permit, then its possible to deal with Canadian dealers. Unfortunately not breeding them right now since they're very small, I'm probably going to try in 2-3 years, hopefully I can breed T.gigas if I have opposite sexes
I just bought a rose about 3 weeks ago and he's great. He doesn't turn around when you touch him he crawls right into my hand. He crawls slowly unless i spook him then he'll dash a few inches pretty fast then stop.
I've always read that the rose hair is a great docile spider and good for beginners so your video there kind of creeps me out, I hope he stays this way and if he ever does bite that he doesn't hold on like that, ouch.
why does everybody like the g. pulchra so much its just a black t or is it a rare black t or wat makes it so special. i just wanted to know for the sake of knowing
I have a rose hair just like that! I bought it from the pet store for the sole purpose of having a tarantula I could handle and in her case I would rather hold one of my pokies.
I subbed to this account incase jon3800 gets hacked again

Sosiak565 here: sounds like you have a docile specimen, there's a lot of numerous reports on rosehairs being temperamental. Good luck on ur rose

Ya, I'd rather hold a curly hair or pinktoe any day over a rose
