This was a very expensive show to keep running and the talented cast were phenomenal. I say this because their dressing were of the best quality and upscale sophistication. Their image made you believe in the cast's power and prestige unlike today with the lack of innovation and talent parading the screen.
In mid-season 5 (at the time when Jeff returned in Denver Carrington) it was said that Dominique sold half of her shares of DC to fight against Blake. In the same time, Blake gave 15% of DC to Jeff.
"you're a....saloon singer!" LOL omg, i love the scenes with Dominique vs. Alexis...they were the best! You can tell Joan & Diahann had so much fun playing against each other!
That scene is hilaaaaaaaaaarious. LOL Dominique had some zingers, too. "Lovely non-burned champagne... and velvet, smooth caviar... not the kind YOU serve" as a throwback to their original scene. lol
yea...so true...and i also love the way Joan says her name; "Dom-men-neek....."! LOL ah, they were the best! (and doesn't Diahann look good behind that desk, where she belonged? :)
lmaooo. Yes! She looks GREAT at the helm of Denver Carrington. Blake was such a blah businessman to me. No excitement... no panash! The plot dictates that he be a winner, but you could always tell that that's all it was. I still pine to see the original footage of George Peppard doing scenes from the pilot episode.
Now that I think of it, after Dominique became 40% (or was it 50%?) owner of DC, Blake should have spent more time doing other things and Dominique should have been using his office regularly.
i disagree...i loved Blake (John Forsythe) but i am curious what the original pilot w/ George Peppard was like...but yea Dominique was a G! all day, everyday!
"garrett the bloom is fadinnnng...." LMAOOOO
