How to re-format your SD card on Windows

Don't do this, it's outdated and can ruin your SD card

(NEVER TRY THIS WITH A MICRO-SD CARD! WHEN I TRIED IT, IT DOWNGRADED MINE FROM 16GB TO 1.6GB!)

I broke my lock on my sd card and i put tape over it and its still saying lock protection!!!!!!

@mrsilentkilla1 Don't try and do this with a broken SD Card like yours.

If there is a way to replace the lock on the SD Card and you got it replaced but you did this..

Then it could probably be hopeless (Assuming)

can u help me? i re-formated my SD card and when i put it back into my camcorder, it still said " Memory Full " any sugestions what to do

@tripovame That happened to my micro SD card, it was 16 GB and I re-formated it, and it's memory got drained to 2 GB :(

You are a smart and adorable kid! Thanks for the info. I have to figure out how to format my micro SD card another way because my phone won't format it, and my computer is an old Sony that does not have a slot to plug in the card. It just has the USB outlets. Take care.
