super smash bros brawl is the best game of 2008 easily but because nintendo dominated in 2006 and 2007 they couldnt let it happen again because they are biased also brawl is the best fighting game of this gen and probably of all time
I am so happy i was a PC gamer back in FO3 era.. That's because i stopped playing the patched New Vegas on PS3 because i crashed 4 times in 3 hours... I had to stop it before i got in the story cause later on it would be destructive for my temper and for my ps3.. And i hear things aren't good on xbox either.. So i got to play FO3 but not New Vegas, too bad and i was liking it
It was tough, but fallout 3 had the re playability MGS4 definitely nailed the story and epicness and beat Fallout 3, but what is amazing about fallout 3 is there is SO much to explore, and when your done with that, get the dlc, and then basicly your done, after about 200 hours ^_^
MGS4 though is indeed amazing and is a very close contender, but fallout 3 just had more to explore and higher re playability than MGS4
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I never played Fallout 3. The games I listed in my top 3 were the games I was most excited about in 2008 and all 3 of them were great.

Fallout 3 wasn't that great, some big mistakes were made like when you finish the game you can't continue exploring unless you have some DLC. The story isn't that good, the only thing I liked was blowing people's and mutant's heads. MGS4 in the other hand was much greater. Some big memorable moments that made you cry like a little baby, great story and even though I would have liked for them to keep the same controls from the other games, but it's definitely the GotY of 2008. Funny video though.

I respect your opinion maybe fallout is more your style of gaming. In my opinion Uncharted 2 is better because of gameplay, variety in the surroundings (fallout practically is the same in all the game), story. I would add graphics but that would be unfair because Uncharted 2 is 1 year newer and is one of the greatest looking games that exist so far.
Fallout 3 was very very nice but I am sure MGS 4 is still the best.. GTA 4 was crap.. GTA SA was way way way better than GTA 4.. heck they should have made SA with better graphics and it would have been better.. GTA4 had nothing much interesting, short areas to explore, less mission, boring missions, less interesting characters (except few), boring dialogues. MGs is best game ever anyday.. and yes I have played all these games as soon as they came out..
@Disablefunction When in comes down to it, GTA IV has a better story, smoother/more polished gameplay (e.g. cover system, improoved targeting), and a multiplayer mode thus giving it a longer lifespan (I know GTA SA had mutliplayer for the PC, but GTA IV introduced multiplayer in the GTA series to consoles). I agree that the campaign of San Andreas was funner, but to me GTA IV online free mode is the opitimy of fun. However, I do not agree that GTA IV deserves a 10/10, as no game is perfect.

The reason MGS4 or GTA4 did not win GOTY despite getting 10s is because of IGN's perception of a 10,to them if a game has no major flaws then its a 10,but other people might award a perfect score if the experience of the game is so good that it makes up for the flaws,for example I would give dead space a 10,I recognise the game is flawed but I like it so much that can overlook the flaws,the same thing applies to IGN and fallout 3,they admit the game has flaws but the pros far outway the cons
@imbadatnames390 I agree. I don't think there can ever be a game without at least some faults, so I'd give ratings on the experience I had with the game and how much I enjoyed it. MGS4 was probably the most well made and well put together game of 08, but there was games that I had a lot more fun playing. (Fallout 3, Dead Space, Tales of Vesperia, Saints Row 2.)

I respect your opinion maybe fallout is more your style of gaming. In my opinion Uncharted 2 is better because of gameplay, variety in the surroundings (fallout practically is the same in all the game), story. I would add graphics but that would be unfair because Uncharted 2 is 1 year newer and is one of the greatest looking games that exist so far.

Fallout 3 was very very nice but I am sure MGS 4 is still the best.. GTA 4 was crap.. GTA SA was way way way better than GTA 4.. heck they should have made SA with better graphics and it would have been better.. GTA4 had nothing much interesting, short areas to explore, less mission, boring missions, less interesting characters (except few), boring dialogues. MGs is best game ever anyday.. and yes I have played all these games as soon as they came out..

@Disablefunction When in comes down to it, GTA IV has a better story, smoother/more polished gameplay (e.g. cover system, improoved targeting), and a multiplayer mode thus giving it a longer lifespan (I know GTA SA had mutliplayer for the PC, but GTA IV introduced multiplayer in the GTA series to consoles). I agree that the campaign of San Andreas was funner, but to me GTA IV online free mode is the opitimy of fun. However, I do not agree that GTA IV deserves a 10/10, as no game is perfect.

The reason MGS4 or GTA4 did not win GOTY despite getting 10s is because of IGN's perception of a 10,to them if a game has no major flaws then its a 10,but other people might award a perfect score if the experience of the game is so good that it makes up for the flaws,for example I would give dead space a 10,I recognise the game is flawed but I like it so much that can overlook the flaws,the same thing applies to IGN and fallout 3,they admit the game has flaws but the pros far outway the cons

@imbadatnames390 I agree. I don't think there can ever be a game without at least some faults, so I'd give ratings on the experience I had with the game and how much I enjoyed it. MGS4 was probably the most well made and well put together game of 08, but there was games that I had a lot more fun playing. (Fallout 3, Dead Space, Tales of Vesperia, Saints Row 2.)
