at 1:50, when tied at 40-40 (deuce), why was the next winning point the game? and not an advantage gasquet? dont you have to win two consecutive points when at deuce? the score board even went up twice from 40-40 to 40-adv to game. can someone clarify?

@Likeafoxow it was advantage, the scorebord just wasn't up to date, if you saw the serve was also on the left side which means it was advantage and not deuce

@Likeafoxow the score on the tv was wrong. gasquet was serving on the ad side not the duece, meaning it had to advantage gasquet and it was simply a technical error on the tv.

@4Ventus In all honesty, Gasquet's backhand is alot deadlier on the court, especially on his good days than federer's. But federer has a very good technique also and it looks alot 'cleaner' than gasquet's. But fed makes up for it by alot with an amazing forehand also.

Federer;s backhand is more effective than Gasquet's for a few reason:

1.) it's got more variety

2.) it takes less time to set up, slice or topspin, federer reacts faster than gasquet on that wing

3.) Federer has the best slice... anywhere

4.) dropshots

but given the time to setup, Gasquet has a more powerful backhand than Federer's i agree, but power is far from everything in tennis

i'm starting to realize why gasquet's ranking is so bad now

-his lack of mentality (lost 4 matches from 2-sets-to-love up in three years from 2008~2010)

-his return of serve; does not anticipate serves well, and very rarely hit it back effectively

-his serve; there's no power for free points or follow up shots, his serve is just a mean of starting a rally

so basically, gasquet cant earn free points, he can only beat opponents unless he's in some extremem zone or is far superior to his opponent
