this vid is great, I'm a great fan of this opening. Althrought, I think that white plays simple Bxf5 in 13. move and I haven't found any continue better for black
Interesting ideas... my personal preference if I have to trade the bishop is to have the Q take control of that diagonal in its stead, thus keeping the enemy B at bay. Have to admit that might not be very useful with White pushing his pawn to g3 though.
Speaking as a mere mortal, the Accelerated Dragon is pretty much my favorite defense for Black. I've also been puzzled as to why it doesn't get much attention from the pundits, but I just always figured it's because the better players see something there I'm not seeing.
A note about the camera angle. It's fine for displaying the chess instructor, but visibility of the chess board suffers. Either
raise the camera for a better reveal of the chessboard, split screen it, or omit the instructor altogether from the screen. At risk of sounding even more picky, is what's up with that clutter on the tabletop next to the chess board? Was that intentional?
He said something that sounded interesting, but I couldn't make out what it was? It starts, "perhaps it's the influence of the dreaded ____ ____ , where white attempts to crack the black position"
why would people say that you made a mistake? because i see nothing wrong since i have studied the dragon intensively and prepared it for a whole year, but i start with it looking like a hungarian with 1.e4c5 2.Nf3g6. nevertheless, it also confuses me because you are an International Master!!! amazing video
Nice black position, although if white decided to move rooks forward early on, the pressure on white would diminish. Although moving rooks forward early on is unwise... This is why I like chess so much. =D
Great vid - but 19 c5 is a mistake, as Rxd3 threatens, foll by Qxa6... Na6 back to b4 or c5 seems = but still a lot to play for... Very bice line for Black though. Thanks for posting!

why would you ever put your knight there it seems the bishop can come in and take the white one protected by rook

as a sicilian defense player i have to say i don't like this. giving up the king's bishop for a knight seems like a very bad move.

He sounds like he's trying to sell me the accelerated dragon.

I haven't found a more versatile defense yet.

My first comment was my reaction to the first few seconds of the video.
I was tempted to stop watching the video altogether, since it promised
a bad shot at viewing the board. But that's just the intro, and the video
does splendidly thereafter, by going to a eye pleasing 2D board.
