I agree with a lot of other people -- love the music in this segment TCM does -- it struck me the first time I ever heard it, very affecting stuff. I have no idea what it is, after some searching I can only assume it's something original from TCM.
One of my favorite Hutton flicks. May she never be forgotten. You may be interested to know about a book I just read written by Betty along with her friends Carl Bruno and Michael Mayer - Backstage You Can Have, My Own Story. I believe it's a print on demand book that has to be ordered from a bookstore( I did) or from the net. Take care.
your so right about that, i thinks its one of my favorite if not my favorite movies ever. and oh wow i just read the info about the book it sounds fantastic, i'll check it out.
OMG! This made me cry! Especcialy @ 1:02 She was so terrific. I didn't find out about her until after she passed away but i shure do wish I was alive wen she was still doin movies. It's a shame what she went thru @ the end but I hope she can c how much we all really loved her. RIP Betty Hutton we miss u!
There is a new Book on Betty Hutton that just came out a personal Biography. it is called "Rocking Horse" by Gene Arceri. He knew her personally and I know the the aurthor
I wonder what's this song too. I luv the song so much I downloaded this on my MP3 . Everytime TCM plays this for the recently deceased stars it makes me cry and realize their work in the movies. If I ever become a successful star I hope to have this kind of tribute after I die. This song is really touching, moving and deeply emotional. R.I.P Betty Hutton.
Thank God for TCM and Robert Osborne, who hosted Miss Hutton's last interview on TCM. I cannot stress how important these precious moments are to those of us who cherish the movies, past and present.
@madman37115 This was a great interview and truly a precious moment for those of us who loved Betty Hutton for the great entertainment she provided us when we were kids. I hope I can catch this interview again on TCM.
I've seen TCM's tribute to Betty on March 15th. It was great seeing her discuss her career with Robert Osbourne in 2000...but where was "Annie Get Your Gun"?
What great actors and actresses we had then. Now we have noone of that stature. Part of it is they
Make lousey movies today. Garbage. Bring back the Gone With The Wind. Wuthering Heights type movies. Bring it on. Please.

i miss betty. she was very talented and a great comedienne.
and yes, i'd also like to know the music :)

Not sure about the music. If I remember right, TCM used the same music on another (if not more "TCM Remembers") clip in 2007.
