There are lot of parts in this game in which the cape just totally removes the challenge. I tried capeless Super Mario World, and man.... some of the levels are quite difficult without it.

Yeah, it's not an easy thing to do. Playing without Yoshi, save the levels you need him for, is also pretty tough.

I'm glad he gave us those options though. As fun as those powerups can be, I also like a challenge.

But yeah, there are some levels like Outrageous, in which having Yoshi is a MUST.

I didn't. I just re-beat all of the levels.

When you go to re-fill in the secret place for capes and shit, just cut it out or make it at a really high speed.

you can get a lot of one ups on bb2 by getting yoshi and a cape and continuously jumping off the heads of the enemies. it's a lot more fun than the secret area :)

If you want to grind for lives just do it in Top Secret Area.

the easiest way to get 99 lives is going to vanilla secret 2 and when u get to the gray p switch bring it back to where all the jumping koopas and hit it and collect them, do it twice and you can get 99 lives easily

No it's not. The easiest way is to go in and out of top secret area. It would take a while, but that's the easiest.
