The running scene was just like the one from Go Nagai's Abashiri Ikka OVA, and Project A-Ko which, I don't think was one of his works. Difference though is the girls in what I mentioned aren't as muscular, but probably just as strong.

the music is from the 1987 devilman ova which was based on the 1972/1973 devilman manga which was made after the 1972 tv anime(kinda like how there was a yugioh gx manga after the yugioh gx tv anime started)

violence jack is related to the devilman manga, as is devilman lady (devil lady)

I already know of Akira, Wicked city, The Professional Golgo 13, Fist of the North Star, and Legend of the Overfiend. as for manga the riki-oh manga is 70-odd chapters of splatter gore and conspiricy ramblings and has wonderfully graphic scenes of bone removal, skinning, cannibalism, organ removal, dismemberment and litural blood baths

@pastuiedada I dunno, the sheer concept of a Rat Monkey being a disease carrier, and the zombie/mutant/thing baby in a blender, were more memorable to me. For me, it felt like Riki-Oh played it's ridiculous violence with a straight-ish face, whereas Peter Jackson embraced the ridiculous shlockiness of his work, ergo making it bit more enjoyable (to me.) I loved both, but I've always felt that Jackson's movie was slightly better, and definitely more well-made.
