There are major problems with this game.It doesn't jive with the movie. Either Child or Macgrady had to be a thing. But neither of them are. How did Macgrady escape and not notify anyone, there is no way to escape the copter was broken thanks to blair, so was the tractor. All the dogs were dead, and there is no way he could walk that far to civilization, he would have froze.

The ship got blown up at the end of the movie, yet it's still in tact in the game.

Childs body is a whole different area that where the ship was, and that is where he met up with Macgrady at the end of the movie.

Then the military knows about the things and uses them like biological warfare when we all know from the movie that the Thing can't be controlled.

Those are just some of the issues I have with the game.

@snake2006 What you said is true but the game never explaines if Mcready is the thing or not, we just see him picking the protagonist up at the end of the game but we never really know if it's really him or if he has been assimilated

This game was way under rated. I was disappointed with the PC port though. It had a bunch of bugs. Luckily they had that mod that let you do mouse look. The bugs didn't detract from the game. They just pissed me off in a few places. Pretty long and challenging game. I loved it.
