i don't know but 8800gt got 46 Fpsavg at 1920x1200 resoulution and 9800gtx got 25-35 fps MAX since this is the OC version I expect better performance but core clock can't be 650mhz it must be around 725mhz min Nice card though

What clocks does it have? Yeah 40 frames more, I get 90fps constant in CoD4 with highest setting 1680x1050. In Test Drive Unlimited I get around 60-80fps

Nope there no block on it you have to force vsynce off prob cause i forced vsynce off for my card in the nvidia control panel because fallout 3 and oblivion... has a cap on 60fps but cod4 dosnt have a cap that must be your card or something. i could make a video if you want :D
There is for me, Vsync is off. I can make a video too :P To show that my fps is constantly 90fps, not higher not lower. If I put on vsync then it´s 75fps. Now I´ve got an older version of drivers because CSS wont work with the newest Beta, and they were better att all the other games like TDU
I think its your drivers because on all games vsync is supposed to have a cap on 60fps because it will make tearing because the human eye can only see 60fps so yea its not supposed to cap at 75fps thats odd.. ill download TDU and try it out :D

yea ive got the radeon 9600 series on my laptop that im using right now. i love it its perfect for me. dual moniter support, and s video i have a second moniter hooked up to my laptop and i project it onto my smart board when i watch movies on my laptop through my s- video.
its just the term used to refer to the interfacing of more than one card. ATI calls it Crossfire and NVIDIA calls it SLI.
so 3 SLI simply means you can run 3 cards together and they can interface and divide up workloads = higher fps. (like dedicating a card for shadows and particles/ post processing).
down side is money for a new build to accommodate sli. New mobo, massive power supply, full tower case, advanced cooling (dont want to over heat) and of course more cards.

I have been an xbox 360 user since the beginning, purchased my first 360 december 26th 2005 and do not regret my purchase. Yes it breaks alot as i have been through 9 of them. Last week i decided to go buy a PS3 due to the release of killzone 2. I purchased it got it home and hooked it up to my 1080p monitor. Took 15 minutes to download and install the latest firmware update. Can you say slow? I have a 20mb connection so sony obviously caps your bandwidth.
So after i installed the firmware update i made a PS online account, which was pretty fast and easy.
Inserted REsistance 2 and had to download a 26MB patch and it took over 10 minutes. I can download 26MB off xbox live in less than 15 seconds. Again, more waiting to play my game.
The PS3 is suppose to be the 1080p 60FPS machine, yet resistance and killzone both appeared to run at 30fps and neither supported 1080p. Again, dissapointed. The online play was pretty goodbut their d/l servers suck
Wanted to play one of my old ratchet and clank games. Made a virtual memory card and inserted the disk and the PS3 i purchased was not backwards compatible. This was the final disappointment, i packed it back up and got my money back. My PS3 experience was waiting and disappointment which i did not pay $540 for. Ill keep my 360 with a live account. I do play some games on my PC and the only downfall is the lack of people that use mics. Crysis sucks, its just graphics.

20mbps internet is terrible? I don't think so, most people don't even have 5mbps. I didn't know they removed backwards compatibility in the recent models, my brother has an original 60GB launch console, and his friend has a 80GB model from 2007 and both are backwards compatible.
Those games do not run in 1080p, if you look at the box, resistance 2 supports up to 720p and Killzone 2 supports up to 1080i. While playing those games, there was serous aliasing problems and the game looked like grainy shit. I also own crysis because I bought into the hype back in 07. Besides the graphics and physics the game is nothing special.
And the PSN download servers DO SUCK, they cap your bandwidth.
I can download 500MB on the PC, in the same time it took the PS3 to download a 26MB patch.
20mbps is 2.5 MEGABYTES per second, which is well ABOVE the standard residential internet connection.

PS3 is evolving unlike 360. I'd rather play the 360 games that I like on my PC, seeing as they'll inevitably be on the latter platform. And anyway PS3 is worth MGS4, Killzone 2, Drakes fortune, GOW3 and there just a few!

Yes it will increase the memory bandwidth when you overclock the memory on it. Google GPU Review and you can see how much more bandwidth you have when you overclock the memory. And it helps in GTA 4 but it really only helps if you run at alot high resolutions than say 1440x900.

its just the term used to refer to the interfacing of more than one card. ATI calls it Crossfire and NVIDIA calls it SLI.
so 3 SLI simply means you can run 3 cards together and they can interface and divide up workloads = higher fps. (like dedicating a card for shadows and particles/ post processing).
down side is money for a new build to accommodate sli. New mobo, massive power supply, full tower case, advanced cooling (dont want to over heat) and of course more cards.

I have been an xbox 360 user since the beginning, purchased my first 360 december 26th 2005 and do not regret my purchase. Yes it breaks alot as i have been through 9 of them. Last week i decided to go buy a PS3 due to the release of killzone 2. I purchased it got it home and hooked it up to my 1080p monitor. Took 15 minutes to download and install the latest firmware update. Can you say slow? I have a 20mb connection so sony obviously caps your bandwidth.

So after i installed the firmware update i made a PS online account, which was pretty fast and easy.
Inserted REsistance 2 and had to download a 26MB patch and it took over 10 minutes. I can download 26MB off xbox live in less than 15 seconds. Again, more waiting to play my game.
The PS3 is suppose to be the 1080p 60FPS machine, yet resistance and killzone both appeared to run at 30fps and neither supported 1080p. Again, dissapointed. The online play was pretty goodbut their d/l servers suck

Wanted to play one of my old ratchet and clank games. Made a virtual memory card and inserted the disk and the PS3 i purchased was not backwards compatible. This was the final disappointment, i packed it back up and got my money back. My PS3 experience was waiting and disappointment which i did not pay $540 for. Ill keep my 360 with a live account. I do play some games on my PC and the only downfall is the lack of people that use mics. Crysis sucks, its just graphics.

For one you're a retard you should have known what PS3 model you brought. No the PS3 doesn't take long to download updates. And 20MB internet is terrible, you should have an internet connection off 50MB average. And those games do run in full 1080p. And no crysis isn't all graphics. You seem like an annoying reject who likes to complain.
The physics in crysis are amazing that's more then enough off a reason to buy it.

20mbps internet is terrible? I don't think so, most people don't even have 5mbps. I didn't know they removed backwards compatibility in the recent models, my brother has an original 60GB launch console, and his friend has a 80GB model from 2007 and both are backwards compatible.

Those games do not run in 1080p, if you look at the box, resistance 2 supports up to 720p and Killzone 2 supports up to 1080i. While playing those games, there was serous aliasing problems and the game looked like grainy shit. I also own crysis because I bought into the hype back in 07. Besides the graphics and physics the game is nothing special.

I can download 500MB on the PC, in the same time it took the PS3 to download a 26MB patch.
20mbps is 2.5 MEGABYTES per second, which is well ABOVE the standard residential internet connection.

Removing the backwards compatibility was stupid. There are only a few good games for the PS3 on shelves right now, so if you buy one, you have no games to play.

PS3 is evolving unlike 360. I'd rather play the 360 games that I like on my PC, seeing as they'll inevitably be on the latter platform. Accept for a select few games which suck (gears of war 2, halo 3). Only 360 game I like that isn't on PS3 is mass effect. And I'd rather play that on my more powerful PC.
And anyway PS3 is worth MGS4, Killzone 2, Drakes fortune, GOW3 and there just a few!

Sorry, I live in a town of 3000 people and since their are no large businesses there is no business class internet available.
I played those 3 games that are on shelves right now, while they were fun they weren't $600 worth of fun. I don't see how the ps3 is evolving, they are removing features, not adding them. 99% of multiplatform games run and look better on the 360.
Im done now, going to play my 360 while PS3 users wait for more than 3 good games.

Sony is removing features to lower the price, while the xbox has had a few features added while the price is lowering.
Sony lost so much money because they were pushing blu-ray. Now they have to get that money back that blu-ray production costs have come down, and the only way to reduce the production cost, is to remove features.

Seriously why waste your money? Why buy a whole new come, for a new processor and a GTX265. (Which is a stupid thing to get if you already have a GTX260). Why not just get the new 8X blueray drive when it comes out. A 1TB hard-drive. Which you can put into your current case. What's your motherboard? Unless you get one that's compatible with core i7 which also means getting DDR3 memory. There's no point in upgrading!

If you buy a GTX260 core 216 wich is about 111/Gbs Bandwidth and you overclock it yourself at the same speed as the SuperClocked version (121/GBs) or the SSC (131/Gbs) , will it also increase the Memory Bandwidth?
Does the Memory Bandwidth really matter between these same GPUs ? Please hit me back. thx

Yes it will increase the memory bandwidth when you overclock the memory on it. Google GPU Review and you can see how much more bandwidth you have when you overclock the memory. And it helps in GTA 4 but it really only helps if you run at alot high resolutions than say 1440x900.
