  • This song so kicks ass! Have loved this one since I was a kid........

  • met wilbert in the mid 70s in a bar in newark nj, he and i had a beer and he sang kansas city a few times and he joked around with a light bulb that would light when he put in on peoples heads, today his son wibert harrison jr came in my record store looking for a 45 record of kansas city on fury label, i had one, we listened to it and he rememberd his dad with storys, it was a pleasure meeting him as well as his dad, days like this make me glad i kept my record store open.....

  • This is VERY CLOSE to the greatest rock and roll song of all time ! plus, the twist the locomotion, the wanderer,oh pretty woman,be my baby and anything by the Drifters !

  • R&R at its best - classic rythym, classic singing, classic theme

  • OMG, I used to sing this on karaoke in 2005.

  • A #1 hit for the late Wilbert Harrison on both the Top 40 and Rhythm & Blues charts. It was the 47th #1 R&B hit of the Rock Era.
