God of war 2 is better not only because of story line which is more developed but because of this belief that you play best game for ps2 and there is no way someone can make better. But I guess ps3 didn't show his full potential with god of war 3 but it was beautiful enough. Besides gow3 action take place only on olympus while in gow2 it's more like journey to the end of the world and we can visit many places there. I also think that soundtrack in gow2 is more... balanced
