If I pickup my touchstone with pre on it and tap it the pre falls off. Not sure if I would trust it the way you have it setup but damn good idea how you set it all up. Are there not enough pre's out there for someone to just manufacturer some damn touchstone car kits!!! =,(
Interesting. I did make a little piece (bottom half of seido case) that glues to the bottom half of the circle on the TS but I didn't need to use it because it holds well. Hmm
I have an inverter in my truck's center console I use for various things. When I go on long trips (like this past weekend), I will bring my touchstone alone and put my Pre on it. But, dude, your install rocks! My inverter is plugged into an extra cigarette lighter outlet, with wires hanging out and just sits there but this video is super sharp! Nice job.
Or you could just buy the Palm car charger and plug it into your cigarette lighter... with the inverter, you're just converting the car's DC to AC just to convert it back to DC for the usb.
You do have to make sure you get the Palm charger, other car chargers don't put out the 1A the touchstone needs.
I just wired a second cigarette lighter in behind the center console in my car and ran it back up to a similar location on my dash.
I tried to do this to my lexus but u couldn't take the wooden grains out.

With 1.4 update I do not get the constant dinging anymore. There no need for dc/ac inverter.

Really? Well that's good. I still want to make sure I give enough amperage though, otherwise it will pull too much voltage and can burn out the TS
