I'm not dogging on high notes and power at all. I really love that stuff, don't get me wrong. But for there to be a high and powerful, there has to be a soft and quiet. I love it.

No. This version is NOT better than the original. That's impossible. How can a COVER of a song be BETTER than the ORIGINAL? Someone explain that statement to me. Without the original song, no one could have even though of doing a cover of it. The original will always be the best version of that song. A cover can be AS GOOD as the original, but not BETTER. That's preposterous..

This show is nothing compared to glee. This show understands the hard work that us actresses have to go through. Glee is just singing in a room, with the same people ruining songs. SMASH shows competition, and the real work it takes to get on Broadway. Fighting against the girl who always gets the lead.... and the sacrifices it takes.

The only issue I have with this is the same issue that I have with a lot of what Glee does. It sounds too much like its just a karaoke track. I want them to take songs and breath a new life into them. What Glee did with The Warblers, that's what I'm talking about. Taking a great song, and putting a fresh spin on it.
