  • Love minis, but those colors look like a rotten tomato.

  • about how much does this cost?

  • I love my mini they are fucking sweet

  • hate to say it but I prefer the standard works exhaust, sounded much better.

  • I'm always amazed that aftermarket companies think they know better than a car company that spent millions on research and development! A lot of cars are ruined because people don't know a thing about gasflow or why it is important to have certan diameters in different places, or why the exhaust needs to be hotter in some places. Hot exhaust gas flows faster. The volume difference in terms of gas between 55&60mm is minimal & gives no more power - possibly less than the factory exhaust. Try it!

  • @urbex2007 They did try , and the result was more power on aftermarket exhausts :)

  • @urbex2007 As ProjectRevoLutioN21 said, aftermarket exhausts do tend to result in more power and better overall performance in the case of the Mini as well as other vehicles. In-fact you lose up to 30BHP with the standard Mini Cooper S factory exhaust system. The aftermarket companies who produce these products do a lot of research as well into the cars they plan to supply so keep that in mind, they have a business to run you know?

  • @urbex2007 you also have to keep in mind that car companies number one goal is making money, if they can do something in a cheaper manner they will. Aftermarket products are designed to improve performance, they have no care in xsaving the money they care about making the product, thus aftermarket units are usually built better and perform better

  • Really nice car BMW really rules I ♥ MINI .....!!

  • lol looks like a hotwheel underside c:

  • looks like the mini has a big butthole

  • love the overrun...

  • Damn, that's one wide ass road. Make the MINI look super mini.

  • good video, I actually learned something about exhausts :)

  • Is this made for a 2003 MINI Cooper S (R50)?... If so I'd love some info... Also saw a comment about no cat.. Isn't that required by emissions?... I know it is here in Colorado...

  • IMO the Sup Sprint is quieter, but has better sound quality under max throttle output. Also 11 whp more than JCCW.... wow thats a ton for just bolt on.

  • Is it just me or did the JCW exhaust sound a thousand times better?

  • Diesen MINI haben wir auch!

  • The big question is how much more power do You get with the new exhaust

  • Maybe it's just me, but I think the SuperSprint system is quieter than the stock one? Or was the input volume turned down

  • how much does it cost to buy and install it?

  • im a noob with cars what is the point of putting a new muffler? :) like the one in the video?

  • No cat?

  • @94EglVisionTSI The factory cat for this model is in the down-pipe, we did not replace the down-pipe with the Supersprint Down-pipe this go-around.

  • Beautiful MINI!!

  • mini cooper is a british car right???sorry if im wrong...

  • @SIMONDUKEN Its a British company, yes.

  • @anuploader no, sorry. It WAS a british company, BMW makes all the Mini's now

  • Personally I prefer the sound of the JCW exhaust.. So, I find no reason to invest money in a exhaust that makes my car sound just like a Saturn.

  • watch my R56S Supersprint Catback Video!

    v=KOWJbfAGWrQ

change the video url on the web bar.

  • man I'd put as close to a 3" pipe on there with a single high flow cat back to a cherry bomb extreme muffler with a cut out about 4" after the cat >:)

  • no it sounds mean and awesome, i want my r53 to sound that good

  • It sounds broken. Not good.

  • these products look really high quality!!!

  • how much would this whole system cost with installation?

  • The higher the diameter which lets "more airflow" doesn't always mean its a good thing. Its all about velocity and back pressure. But for a car like this it seems it could be a bit higher.

  • Nice

  • chuck the spoiler off!

  • The SuperSprint exhaust sounds much better!

  • that exhaust sounded like S#$%!

  • that shit sounds so nasty!

  • @deathbydotz its sounds bad ?

  • How would you compare the supersprint exhaust to Borla for the Mini S?

  • Do the Mini Cooper S's look the same underneath? it's so damn clean.

  • Let me clear my throat EHH HEEEH EHH HEEEH

  • From the turbocharger all the way to the rear muffler is called "turbo-back" not "cat-back"

  • love the color

  • sounds shit

  • Did you guys install the one with or without the resonator? It sounds too loud for my taste.

  • @supercooled This system installed is without the Resonator, we tried it with and it gave it a nice quiet street sound, but this customer wanted this sound and therefor did request non-resonated, he was tired of the Rasp of the Factory JCW System...

  • @supercooled did the new exhaust increase performance of the car, or just the noise made?

  • what that thing is so quiet

  • Very informative film, but I like the sound of the stock JCW system. The "snap" and "pops" of sharper and louder. In my opinion, that sound is what makes the JCW distinct. No doubt the Supersprint helps the engine perform better, but the sound it makes sounds like my stock R56S factory system.

  • i want to c dyno that it adds 11 whp. and i'll buy it

  • sounds amazing! im very interested in this exhaust system on my 08 MCS. however, this is a JCW and the JCW engine is made in germany rather than the UK i believe. do you know if the exhaust would sound somewhat similar to the one in the video since the engines are different? i love how throaty the sound is and the "popcorn" sound the supersprint produces.

  • go for the borla race catback with an exhaust depot uncatted downpipe. Nastiest shit everrrr

  • sounds a thousand times better with the new exhaust!

i'd like to have a mini, too :(

  • I don't even tool on cars and I watched this. You guys make it look easy.

  • Sounds nice, it really does. However, I think I prefer the exhaust notes from the 1st gen Cooper S (R53)

  • @bLoodykNuklz Why do you suggest that the exhaust has been restricted with the the exhaust upgrade?

  • no offence but the JCW standard exhaust sounds better.

  • to be honest the original system sounded better, good video, but pointless addition to an already perfect car

  • I perfer my factory "popcorn" sound... much better!!!! JCW!!!

  • too bad the stock exhaust sounds better (is louder) than the supersprint.

So it's a downgrade in my opinion.

spending approx. 2000bucks to get less sound.

  • this mounth i will buy the exhaust for my mini.

    it makes nice sound!!!!!!!!!!

  • Please don't put a spoiler on your R56. It looks incredibly stupid on the MINI and makes you look like a wanker.

  • It comes stock on the JCW though.

  • talking about the stock one? or getting one for it?

  • sounds likes a mitsubishi lancer evo

  • Spoilers are for high speed stability... how much downforce do you think a spoiler creates? not enough to lift the front end to induce understeer

  • Not exactly, we upgraded this due to the fact that the Supersprint made 11whp and 14 wtq more than the factory JCW exhaust. If Supersprint can't make more power from an exhaust, they don't market it.

  • im not sure about that wing.. it looks sick on the website but in this vid it looks too big and kinda ricery

  • That's how the John Cooper Works Spoiler. If you look at the regular cooper S spoiler it's smaller and looks nice. The mini GP has a interesting spoiler. I have a GP spoiler on my 06 Cooper JCW.

  • I have a resonator delete on my JCW exhaust system. Straight pipe for more sound.. and I modded my jcw air box with the flapper always open so air is always flowing, instead of activating @ 4300 rpms. The super charget sounds a lot better if you go with that combo. I'm not sure if they have have the paper element on this cooper JCW. If they were to change the filter out to a high-flow instead of a paper element it would give you a better sound and a little boost in hp.

  • yea i know.. but id get a cooper s and i wanted to put that wing on it

  • Hey, these cars are badass. Don't ever refer to them as "lunch boxes with wheels",

  • second system sounds better! great car, but wouldn't modifying the manifold and cat with the exhaust help? It is interesting to see such poor quality original parts supplied with the mini.

The special branch in the UK use those cars as they are very fast and fit through tight spaces! nothing beats them.

  • Is there any ways to get the blow off working without getting the power lag? Are there blow off out there that release just a little of air or the one that we can set it up if we want to let it release alot of air or not.

    Thanks!

  • SO umm... I want the blow off sound haha.... How do we get the blow off to work nice in the stock turbo? umm..

    is there anyways?

  • put intake on it duhh. buddy got one sounds nasty

  • intake, exhaust and BOV to get that nice turbo spool and blow whistle

  • Great! I will have my Supersprint fitted. How long does it take?

    And I have one question.

The HKS Blow off valve fitted on the cooper S. Is it good or not. I heard people saying the car is slower because they have to wait for the turbo. Because the Blow off. Blows all of the air out. They had to wait for the air to get going again. IS this normal? does this happens to their car only?

I want the blow off sounds. Should i get it? or not?

  • The fitting takes about 3-5 hours from start to finish.

As for the Blow Off Valve, the Cooper "S" has a Factory Recirculation/Blow off system that puts the released air back into the intake system and therefore helping to maintain and build boost faster. This is opposed to an Atmospheric Dump BOV that vents the pressure into the air in which case the turbo must build all of the pressure back up. This would cause a bit of power lag depending on the settings of the vehicle.

  • Thats crazy, they want all this money for JCW parts, yet they are actually really cheap. Obviously better off just doing it aftermarket with this superspring or some ofter aftermarket brand

  • sounds mean... is that running stock?

  • Yes, at the time there were no other modifications on the vehicle.

  • craaaaaaazy... have you won any races in it?

  • We have not raced this car, this is actually a customer's car that came to us for the Exhaust Upgrade.

  • well that is one cool customer..... while he's in that car of course..

  • Fantastic video, love the detail!

stock JCW exhaust sounds brilliant too

  • Yes we used the factory down pipe with cat, and the sound clips you are hearing were with the Supersprint center pipe not the resonator.

  • Sorry I meant did u use the Supersprint centerpipe with the muffler or the test pipe style centerpipe

i have a euro spec mini and I was looking to run the entire turbo back 65mm exhaust.. just trying to get an idea how loud it would be catless and no center muffler

    thank you

  • Hello,

We used the factory Down-pipe, Supersprint front straight-pipe section and rear non-resonated section, and the Supersprint Muffler. The sound if you run no cat would be about 2 db louder than our sound-clips at the end of the video.

  • Great video, very informative!

were u sound clips with the factory downpipe?

and which midpipe was installed? with or without the resonator?

    thanks
