for the last 30is ish years there been extra heat in the Ocean currents..the +2 in the Subtropic seas seas and the +4 in the Troics Seas that ride up past green land bringing enough heat to the evaporation/percipitation cycles to cause stronger winter and Summer Storms, colder winters,warmer summers and and melting of polar ice and greenland boarders..but it isn't "AGW"..it's a Cycle

@Oddessuss CO2 feedback about what? That while looking at the graphs beginning 500 million years ago the CO2 doesn't seem to show any correlation with the mean temperature on earth? Of course there has been a global warming the last 15'000 years, a quite dramatic one, be thankful for that, if not we would be buried under 1000's of metres of ice in Eurasia and North America. The Planet is actually cooling abruptly on satellite before your very eyes. The Sun now slowly enters a grand solar minimum with activity similar to that of the Dalton minimum and may in the future match the Maunder minimum. Dangerous cooling is the problem not warming.

@david222444 I believe NASA says there is a possibility of the sun entering a brief period similar to the Dalton minimum. Unfortunately this will, if it happens, not be enough to offsett AGW. The most powerful evidence for global warming is the melting permafrost. As the permafrost melts billions of tons of greenhouse gasses such as methane and carbon dioxide are being released, adding to the effect.Please check it out, there are plenty of articles in top scientific journals.

This means if this melting trend continues, all of the Greenland ice will melt in 14,5 thousand years.

So, why is the urgency?
