my dad got a new job driving for a guy who has 1 very nice r series and a 164 and 144 all v8 plus 1 small cab rigid, he also has two 1850 merc actros's :D unfortuneately none have straight pipe :(

No sir, that's just my trailer bumping in a small hole, a car passing and me having difficulties desiding wether or not to go with it and sneak in front of a car =p The "jake" makes a sound almost like the car passing by there, though ;o)

The purpose is the same, but they do function opposite of eachother.

This is a 7 inch pipe (at least the 50 last centimeters), it sounds more mean with a large size exhaust in my opinion, Not so much screaming, just more of a rooooaaaarrrrrrrr =p She does sound savaging, indeed =D

The exhaust sounds like a dream, but I can't imagine working (and living) in a truck that sounds anything like that. I'd have the noise on for certain short hauls and truck shows, defenitly NOT for the open road, nor for spending three weeks in the truck at a time...

Thank you! This truck had "2 in 1 exhaust pipe" with a separate pipe from an exhaust valve, bypassing the muffler ;) Controlled by a switch inside the cab.. Noice On, noice off :P Most of the time I drove it the "noise" was on :)

you need to replace the turbo, get a supercharger! a friend did that to his scania, power jumped to 700bhp!

To get good sound you need to have neither supercharger or 700bhp just a suitable exhaust system.

Your friend will have to pay for that 700bhp at repairs on the engine and the powertrain. It`ll be quite expensive.
