Don't know if this is the original version, i grew up on the sounds of UB40 and find their version better simply because i can relate to the time sound of UB40.
@smokeemonkee You are most probably right they know their music and respect other artists.
Music specially good ones take us back in time, good times and those years were good times for me, young cheeky and innocent until i tasted god's gift to man --------- women hence there were a few Just Another Girl.
@clistma1 I think that's why UB40 put "Just Another Girl - Ken Boothe 1971" on their video version. And that's why the lead singer puts his money into Blood & Fire records which reissues incredible old-school reggae for people to discover.
And thank you for being nice and polite in your response, unlike a LOT of youtubers...
Blood and fire went bankrupt years ago. The owner was forced to sell his whole record collection (30 years of collecting) to sell off the debts. And the lead singer of UB40 is not affiliated or the owneer with/of the now defunct B&F label.
@smokeemonkee Thanks its not difficult to be nice or polite to people. I've taken advise looked up other original Ken Boothe songs they are brilliant. Thanks again.
I'm only 31 so I never grew up in Ken Boothe's hay day but his music always spoke to me. Even now I think he is one of Jamaica's best. Timeless music. Jamaica's Nat King Cole
@karlosrules This was produced by Coxone Dood at his Brentford Road Studio One Studios. The Sonia Pottinger Tip Top label could only dream of this superb classic.
@potaluca i think his version is produced byt either sognia pottinger or bunney lee or even duke reid not sure though i have the dub cut of the u roy song
This song is in the movie " High Tension "
