Rock music was on the radio before I ever heard of bluegrass music and I'm talking the late 50s and Elvis Presley. An early form of rock and roll was rockabilly, which combined country and jazz with influences from traditional Appalachian folk music and gospel.

@TheRocketSilo i think they are supposed to sound off key! If you listen to the harmonies of some of their other songs, they sound a bit off too, but I guess that is what makes them charming and it is part of the bluegrass way for them. Gotta love them either way!

I live in Knoxville, so it's cool to see OCMS not only release a DVD that was recorded here but to feature shots of the area in one of my favorite song's video. Glad they did it here and not Nashville, that's overdone.

@bigcountrypicker Bluegrass isn't always gospel either. As a Kentucky boy born and raise, OCMS can say it's whatever they feel like. But it's nice bluegrass to me.
Some of that old Bluegrass could be amped up turned stone cold death metal. Thinking Knoxville Girl, Louvin bros. It's all music and it's all connected. Me? I just love music. The older I get the better my fathers music gets.

@trainrecked he did not croak as you would think,he fell flat on his face and literally bit the dust...he is on alot of meds to stay alive,diabetes,heart,high blood pressure,5 back surgeries,open heart sugery,neck surgery and reconstructive ball surgery(bad accident 23 years ago,he was a machinist and was running one of hitlers gear cutting machines that hitler used to make the bearings for his panzers/tiger tanks..he worked on cutting oil & had to climb up in the machine & fell.he lives thx

i lived on that levy river side over the miss,those super tankers steamed by day & night.i loved the horns coming around the bend in the miss.1 and then 2.it was a awesome time in my life.those houses are all gone now.oh caroline.katrina made fools out of the government for not continueing to build up the levies since 1969 camille.

@trainrecked he did not croak as you would think,he fell flat on his face and literally bit the dust...he is on alot of meds to stay alive,diabetes,heart,high blood pressure,5 back surgeries,open heart sugery,neck surgery and reconstructive ball surgery(bad accident 23 years ago,he was a machinist and was running one of hitlers gear cutting machines that hitler used to make the bearings for his panzers/tiger tanks..he worked on cutting oil & had to climb up in the machine & fell.he lives thx

@trainrecked he's tuf nut to crack.i personally drink brandy.the captain on the uss aylwin DE1081 (destroyer escort) ordered a shot of brandy for me in the middle of the indian ocean after i swam out to retrieve a iranian torpedo that hit our ship starbard bow and bounced off.it was not armed,they (the iranians in 1974) had just bought 4 new frigots from england,.i swam out to strap it & tow back to the boat.after we were underway & steaming@21 knots,it blew up.i ask for another please.hee hee

great song, but i like their other version WAY more. it's a little slower, really seems to transport the listener to a place and time.. a bit slower, a bit more sincere sounding.

i lived on that levy river side over the miss,those super tankers steamed by day & night.i loved the horns coming around the bend in the miss.1 and then 2.it was a awesome time in my life.those houses are all gone now.oh caroline.katrina made fools out of the government for not continueing to build up the levies since 1969 camille.
