@ChaseYourDemise I could not agree with you any more. With Shadow the Hedgehog it was such a violent turn I was shocked. Now don't get me wrong, I adore violence as much as the next guy. But I was really not even expecting it, and Shadow using guns? What were the creators smoking?

People just need to wake up and realize that this is not what we want. And you get all these kids being brought up in the world now thinking "Sonic 2006" is true Sonic, and it saddens me.

But it looks really, really stupid when it comes into a game like Sonic the Hedgehog. I loved the intensity of SA2. It had three good deaths, Shadow, Maria, and Gerald... And the ending was absolutely breath taking. When I was a child, my life was changed. And 06... I liked it better than Heroes or Shadow, but not the SA series.

@ChaseYourDemise Yeah, and those deaths weren't a bullet to the end. Well if I recall correctly I'm pretty sure Maria was shot, but it doesn't show it. And the ending astounded me, "Live and Learn" playing while you save the earth, and Shadow falls to his death. You get so emotionally in to it you don't even really know what to do with yourself. You have to love that evil, and good working together to defeat the greater evil. So inspirational.

@Dudeguy1995 - Yes, absolutely. I loved Shadow, I found him a powerful character. Being true to Maria until the very end. Most people wouldn't do that. Shadow being the only one left from ARK, and he was actually haunted by Maria's memory. Even if she wasn't real and his memories were fake, he was willing to do what he believed that he promised to do. Even as he was falling to his dead, Maria was the last thing on his mind. And that was what amazed me. You can't do better than that.
