  • Hey man...

With the Super C, you can set a threshhold level for the distortion channel of the roadster and another threshhold for the clean... or you set the levels in the hush and both channels are equally affected?

  • Do you still have the hush engaged when on clean channel, without it robbing tone?

  • How does this compare to the Boss NS-2?

  • @Unknownmisfortune to me it doesn't. The NS-2 is fine, but not as great as this piece.

  • Do you connect the Guitar - RocktronHUSH - Amp - cab?

Or in what order. Please help. Im very stupid.

  • @ac23AQ i go guitar.. through some effects (wah, whammy, etc), then to amp, then loop out to eventide modfactor, then through rocktron, then to eventide timefactor (delay) so that anything that makes it thru the rocktron gets delay-- otherwise rocktron may filter out the tail end of a delay piece.. then back to amp.

  • the way you tested it, might as well get a gate/supressor does the same job. try letting the strings vibrate till its completely fades before the gate kicks in to hear if it does it job by reducing all the noise, at the same time your tone is unmodified.

$150 to use it as a gate is moronic, get a NS-2 does the same thing. or buy a ISPdecimater and stop con'ing ppl to buy this peice of shiet.

  • @7thSenpai lol.. you are not the first noob to say this... The notes fade out fantastic on this..

the fact that you say "get an NS-2" shows your inexperience. Please go troll somewhere else or just get back in your cave.

  • @0m1nous - YEAH I CONCUR.... FIRST OF ALL THANK YOU ...ITS ABOUT TIME SOMEONE JUST MAKES A VIDEO ABOUT THE SUPER C SHOWING WITH AND WITHOUT IT ENGAGED..... THIS DOUCHEBAG TALKS UP BOSS.....WELL I WIPE MY ASS WITH BOSS COMPONENTS....THE ISP IS THE ONLY PIECE BETTER THAN THE SUPER C ....THE ONLY DIFFERENCE THAT SETS THE ISP APART FROM THE SUPER C IS ABOUT 350 BUCKS........ SIMPLY SAID ROCKTRON IS LIKE CHARLIE SHEEN........."W I N N I N G"

  • ISP decimator pro rack g owns this

  • @7thELF what a moronic comment. The decimator pro rack is 500 bucks... this cost me 150. That is like saying a ferrari owns a honda civic... IT BETTER!! Go troll someone else...

  • @0m1nous I wouldn't say the Rocktron beats the isp cause it doesn't but yeah people aren't rich and cheaper alternatives are always great, and unless your pro why invest the "500" right? Personally i think it did the job very good so again... why waste the money unless you really need to.Good video, though i would of liked to maybe hear it ring out you know just to hear if theres any cut off.

  • Does a noise gate do the same thing?

  • Does feedback still get through with this if you take your hand off the strings? I use feedback for a lot of my stuff, so I kind of need it.

  • @iscareuiknowit yep... nasty gnarly unwanted feedback is squashed, but constructive feedback will ring out forever with this.

  • @0m1nous Then I'm definitely buying one... lol

  • @iscareuiknowit depending on your rig, you seriously wont regret it... I get nothing from Rocktron for this either! :)

  • thanks for that quick video, i have been thinking about getting one of the "hush" processors, that quick demo just made my decision to get one a no brainer, thanks man

  • I have to say first of all, you are using the Super C as a Noise gate. You are only using the Gate threshold control. The Hush Threshold control is on 0 in this video. The level of that knob can kill your tone. Try putting it at 12'o'clock and see what happens!

  • Im sorry, but you do not know what you are talking about.

This is not a "gate" in the traditional sense. The hush part works differently with different amps.

I think the demo clearly shows that when used PROPERLY, it does not rob tone.

    Thanks

  • Care to explain? No slight intended, I'd truly like to know. I'm having some difficulty using the Hush Threshold on both my 5150 and Krank Rev.

It certainly doesn't act like the Hush Threshold on my Rocktron Intellifex.

  • I also have a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier and Triple Rectifier and when I have the volume at 12 o'clock with the gain at 4 o 'clock; there is NOT the "buzz" that you say that you normally hear. My amps are dead silent with this setting and I don't have to barre the strings, in addition my tone is not affected which is what every guitar player wants. I am looking for a noise gate device for the feedback that you might get at high volumes and that is how I ran into your video. Thanks by the way.

  • if you read some of the other comments, I reference the feedback that you get from having a HIGH gain amp at a loud volume-- and the squeel is gone, but constructive feedback remains, so you can mold feedback using this piece, and lose no tonal characteristics of the amp.

  • Dead quiet when you're not playing but you're barreing the strings with your left hand so how do we really know how quiet it really is? You should play a chord and let it ring till it dies and not barre the strings, I think that would be more accurate.

  • I disagree...

The "buzz" that you normally hear from any amp when you are not playing, muting the strings with your hand, etc, is THERE without this piece, and it is GONE- as if the amp was turned off- with this piece engaged.

How do you know how quiet it really is? Did you hear *anything* while I was not playing and the piece was engaged?? No? Then that is how quiet it really is.

  • Hey man, I'm not sure about this bit of kit as I have read alot of mixed reviews on it. I am using a prs custom 24 thru a 6505+, what do y reckon it would perform like on that setup?

  • never tried it thru the peavey, but after seeing the vids on youtube with that amp,

my guess is it would do wonders for it...

I put the rocktron in the loop of the Boogie-- after almost everything, but BEFORE the delay... it works absolutely perfectly. I do not have a single complaint about that piece.

  • This video just convinced me to buy one! Thanks, amigo!

  • that cables you used in rocktron? balanced or unbalanced??

  • Wich settings do you use ?

And how much on the loop ?

  • pretty badass! I bet thats why all these big boys have it in their racks.

  • will this kill feedback when my distortion is on?

  • yeah dude, that's the job of the super c.

  • unwanted feedback, yes... like the massive squeel you get just by turning on super high gain...

but molded feedback, like when you let a note ring out until it feeds back, that remains... so you can use it constructively.

  • isnt that a road king head?

  • Roadster head... little bro of the Road King.

  • Would this help with a high gain amp? I have a Madison Divinity II (all tube) head and i get some hiss and noise from it.

  • ok, never heard the rocktron and this amp together...

but, my boogie head is fairly high gain, and I can push the gain to 10 and the master volume over half way up (which you never need it that high), and there was not a peep from the amp with the rocktron engaged.

  • Perfect review, quick and to the point with a more info tab way to go man.

  • i just ordered myself one

  • Hey im quite confused... Does a noice suppresser also remove all those sounds you make by mistake? For instance if you just slightly hit another string ? Hope you understand me cause my english isnt that great :/

  • Sorry, the hush super c won't make you a better player! :)

No, the rocktron does not distinguish between right and wrong notes/mis-hits, only buzzing and such from amps.

  • What is it?

  • i bought this not too long ago and it's amazing!

people who think it "robs" tone just can't figure out how to use the settings properly.

the super c does NOT eliminate feedback. i've read reviews of people complaining about it not getting rid of the feedback. it's a noise exterminator, not a feedback exterminator.

  • I agree...

I can get shaped feedback whenever I want... on demand feedback!

I love it, and wouldn't use anything else right now.

  • thx man for answering the first part i will correct the second

here in saudi arabia we have to voltage typs 110 and 220

the power conditioner and the rocktron are 110 my amp is 220 is it ok to pluge the 220 amp in the 110 power condetioner thx

  • This seems like a stupid question to me, but I just wanted to make sure. If I put this after all of my effects in my loop will it kill the hiss from those too?

  • in short, YUP!

It will kill the hiss. I put it second to last in my FX loop, and any delay unit I put AFTER the Rocktron so that you get a natural decay from the delay unit (right now I have a Korg AX3000g in the FX loop immediately after the Rocktron, and a boss DD7 in front of the amp).

  • how you connect the rocktron and the other racks to the power conditioner and if the voltage is not as the other racks what should i do thx

  • greetings to you in Saudi Arabia.

The rack units all plug into the back of the power conditioner (I think there is something like 8 total available plugs). I also plug my amp(s) into the Furman as well.

The second part of your question I am not sure what you are asking. All the rack units require the same power. The power conditioner takes the power from the wall and regulates it so a steady stream of power goes to everything connected to it (very basic explanation).

  • Hey dude does it cut sustain ? Cuz I want to shut up my Marshall Jcm 800 2203 ...

  • in short, no it doesnt...

That, to me, is the beauty of this thing as a rock guitarist, I can let a note ring out and it doesnt cut it like a true noise gate would. As long as there is a signal coming in from your guitar, it will not cut the sound!

I have a marshall as well, and it does not cut as much sound on the marshall as it does on the Boogie, BUT!! Marshalls are usually a bit louder and poppier than Boogies anyway.

  • Thanks for your help bro=) So it should shut up that really loud hiss sound too Right? plus it will keep that amp natural feedback and decay too right ?

  • On a JCM800, I am not SURE it will take care of the natural hiss that marshall amps have. It takes care of MOST of my JCM2000 combo hiss, but not all of it like on the Boogie. It will be about as good as you will get for a Marshall, I can pretty much guarantee that (Marshall's are just naturally hissy and pop a lot).

Your natural decay and feedback are totally 100% safe though, so rest easy!

  • Well dude I thank you alot you helped me out alot again bro =)Well thanks for giving me the time to answer my questions..You take care of yourself brother =) keep on rocking

  • thanks so much for putting this up!

no problem for the wait...seems like it does a GREAT job so thank you for posting this video, really helped!
