It's not about bad brushing habits. The meth reduces saliva (a natural tooth defense) and also supports a certain strain of bacteria that is rarely seen in non-users' mouths. I know a few "social" users who still function just fine most of the time, and they also have small decay spots in weird places like the front of their teeth.
I think anything in moderation is fine. Some people can use meth in moderation, most cannot. Some meth users take meticulous care of their teeth and see a dentist regularly, the vast majority do not. This is more along the lines of drug abuse. There are so many over-exagerations when it comes to drug use. Use and abuse are two different things. This is a scare tactic which is common use as a deterrent to illegal drug use. If you do crystal meth occasionally this will not happen to you.

I am here researching this topic and also trying to help answer some questions of mine. I am 37 now and prescribed Adderall for the past 2 years. What brings me here now is the recent discovery that my parents were giving me dexedrine pills when I was 10 and 11 years old. Confirmation is as far as I got on subject. Addiction runs in my family and I'm in High School right now. I've done drugs like weed and pills. I do think that weed can be a gateway drug because I liked the high so much that I did adderall a lot and I've even did lithium which I found out can make you retarded. But I decided not to do it anymore because I found that I don't need drugs to make me happy, you just need to find what makes you happy sober and stick with it.

If you have weak, demineralized teeth it's a good idea to ask your dentist for a few tubes of MI paste, it contains Recaldent. You smear it over your teeth and it remineralizes them by bonding the calcium in your saliva to the surfaces. You will notice a difference after two or three tubes. Get the MI paste plus which contains fluoride. You can also get a prescription toothpaste which has very high fluoride that you leave on your teeth and it strengthens the enamel and stops caries.
I am off jib/meth for 8 months, thanks Jesus for a second.....make that a 15th chance to have a new life!!

What brings me here now is the recent discovery that my parents were giving me dexedrine pills when I was 10 and 11 years old. Confirmation is as far as I got on subject. I developed extreme motor ticks in 4th, 5th grade, very embarrassing. So bad so the school was concerned. It has been explained that I now have a deficiency. Advice? Anyone?

This can't be faked unless it's some miracle worker from some Hollywood Studio special effects dept....her teeth came out way too easy and from first glance her teeth look great...my sister has been using for well over a decade and they are completely black, gray and half snapped off!!! She was incredibly pretty and now she looks so old and beaten down. Glad I didn't hang with her any longer than I did. Who know where I would be now. And I too had the most loving family I could ever hope for. :(

Addiction runs in my family and I'm in High School right now. I've done drugs like weed and pills. I do think that weed can be a gateway drug because I liked the high so much that I did adderall a lot and I've even did lithium which I found out can make you retarded. But I decided not to do it anymore because I found that I don't need drugs to make me happy, you just need to find what makes you happy sober and stick with it.

If you have weak, demineralized teeth it's a good idea to ask your dentist for a few tubes of MI paste, it contains Recaldent. You smear it over your teeth and it remineralizes them by bonding the calcium in your saliva to the surfaces. You will notice a difference after two or three tubes. Get the MI paste plus which contains fluoride. You can also get a prescription toothpaste which has very high fluoride that you leave on your teeth and it strengthens the enamel and stops caries.

You heard the nurse - your teeth are meant to be kept if you take care of yourself. Again, this is what I was told - I don't really care why - noone should use anything -
