This is a great idea, especially for handicapped hunters! However it is rather loud and thats not really something you wanna be when your getting into and out of a blind... =-\ ....just sayin....
We have some stands simular to that. Very nice stands when its not too windy.
Also, ForeverChangedLLC, I am from Arkansas and if you killed a spike what part of the state was it in? We have 3 and 5 point one side rules depending on your zone that apply to everybody except during the youth hunts. I do not know of any law that permits a spike harvest other that that. If Im wrong I sure would like to know and like to look it up in our G&F rules and regs.

That's just what we need for those cold northwestern Minnesota days while hunting on State land seeing as we can't build permanent stands there. Nothing is worse than sitting up in a portable tree stand when the temp is in the teens and the wind is blowing about 40mph and it is snowing.
I have an uncle that built a stand that attaches to the winch on his 4-wheeler and that's how he raises and lowers it. It gouse up about 18 feet and has braces to lock it in place once it's up. He can take the 4-wheeler anywhere and set it up so it appears to be much more mobile and when fully raised it is straight up from the 4-wheeler giving it a much better balance.

It's probably just a simple machine. I'd say a couple of hydraulic jacks that can support anything from 2-5tonnes. You can buy those easily, but not that big. You just need some large ones. Then get something that will hold you up and pivot as well... then just a stand... you can always take a john deer tractor out and sit in the bucket :P

Real humans eat meat. you'd be surprised whats in the meat you buy at the store. Coloring to make it look fresh, water for added weight,etc. Most hunters process their own meat or take to a respectable butcher. Where I from we take to a hutterite collony and do awesome work.
Loved the video, very interesting stuff. I do think, however, that the person doing alot of talking in your video(besides yourself) should have a microphone. Who invented this stand? Is it you all's invention or is this something on the market? How wonderful for those that can't use regular tree stands. I being on of those people I couldn't handle no sides but that thing looks great!
