@2paclypse2010 YES,YES IT WOULD...rarely are two rails close enough to use both. Even 1 makes it a cake walk (see my other vids) I made this one specifically to show it's possible with none. Thanks for watching! Like your vids.
@abrafpk Thanks! "that" kinda w/c is the kind you're in. All you need to do is install a seat belt , "hill holders" working backward and most importantly have the will and determination to make stairs your bitch. About "WHY?"... Some would say we end up like this to "inspire", "teach" etc. My opinion: Shit happens...chromosomes are damaged, accidents and violence happens...The end.
Dang, kudos to you...I have amazing upper body strength, but I really doubt I could pull that one off....that and I have a serious fear of tipping my chair and falling backwards lol
@Highboost73 THANKS!It's been 28yrs this year, I'm a T-12"c". I was SEVERELY depressed for at least 2yrs when it happened..Just remember things will get easier and better. I could never have imagined the things I can do now, at age 19. Also so many great things I have experienced in my life that are unique to being a para. Hey this sucks, I'm not going to lie.But give it a few years, get into some adaptive sports. you'll meet others like you, that'll help. Also great for advice with medcl issues
It's really not, I did this for years with just a seat belt and no Cam-locks on the wheels. Now that was HARD and a mistake meant bouncing off every step with my head and elbows. With the locking wheel feature, it's 90% easier and relatively safe. THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENT !
I've done my share of crawling, wheelbarrows, getting help in various ways. This is why doing it myself means so much to me. Say you drive two very buzzed ladies back to their hotel , they invite you in for a drink and a dip in their in-room hot tub which is up a flight of stairs, this is DEFINITELY the better way to go...
ha nice, so how yo u get down? :) once I came to an elevator to cross a rail way bridge, the elevator was down so my technique was to bum up 4 flights of stairs (up and down) dragging the chair then throwing it down the last stairs... i think one side of all stairs should be a rubberised slope..would help

Falling backwards?? You'd stop on the stairs and be able to get up easily... Do you mean forwards?

That is awesome. You are an amazingly adaptive person. I am a t12 incomplete, just of a year, and I am ready to kill myself.
