In my mind there are two kinds of masculinity: aggressive/destructive (deviation) and dynamic/creative (true essence). You express the latter, with grace.
So many male belly dancers are quite feminine; either their moves or their bodies, as if somehow forgetting their masculinity. You, though, are all toned muscle and your moves soft and flowy, true to the artform, while still grounded and powerful.
You are not a man doing female bellydancing. You are a man doing male bellydancing, good!
Very, very unique! I love your combination of bellydancing as well as Indian dance. It is very graceful and absolutely amazing to watch. You are brilliant!
I looooooooooove the sneaky feet thing! That's one of my favorite things in belly dance. I'm only one of like 3 male dancers I have met in person (unless you count Jim Boz...okay, 4 male dancers) and so get my inspiration from these videos. Thanks for posting them!
Hmm, beautiful, strong, lithe...love it. I love watching you dance! Keep up the wonderful work. There are too few men in bellydancing so I hope you rip those boundaries right down.
thanks to You tube I have seen many male belly dancers, but I still think Prince Andrew is the best, I love this mini video and I wish it was longer, I hope you can post more videos soon.
Your dancing is more like a moving poem, a prayer. Your athetisism and strength paired with fluid expressiveness are a powerful combination. Are you married? Oh wait, I am...
Yes, amongst those who are not studying the dance or performing it, that is usually true. The fact that men have long been doing this dance socially in the East was not something commonly known here, or popularized in Hollywood movies, and men were not known to be dancing so much in cabaret settings, etc. Now there are many male "bellydancers" in the U.S. and around the world and the ideas are changing.
well your right but believe or not the best best best belly dancer here in Arab world are women train by MEN .. yes man although it looks disgusting but they are pros especiallllllllly Egyptian males ..
G.Abdo was a genius and a very classy gentleman. I have a playlist of bd videos to his music on my channel. The first time I heard his music, I was in awe and enslaved to it for life.

Here in the United States, when somebody mentions belly dancer, what comes immediately to mind is a woman.

Wonderful! I have mixed feelings about male belly dancers. Many of them freak me out. You prove a man can belly dance without losing his masculinity.
