  • First one sounds like a real firetruck, second on sounds like police car, third one sounds like a fake firetruck and the last one sounds like another police car..

Am I close? I mean, I know squat about sirens. ;-)

  • awesome video,,where abouts is saanich.

  • @mortgagewizard40 Thanks! British Columbia, Canada.

  • NICE VIDEO

  • @SPCcranford1056 Thanks you!

  • @starcraftguy1 your welcome! :D

  • Right at 0:21 is where you'll hear the E-Q2B

  • nice video finnaly a video with Q siren

  • Nice

  • @Emtfirefighter4life1 Thank you :)

  • good one,,,love the sirens

  • @trainmaster1226 thanks

  • how do u know its a fire ?

  • @breeadams on the news

  • I love that Saanich uses the Q... so does Esquimalt and Colwood. Everyone else seems to stick with the Wail and occasional Yelp. Victoria is the worst for monotone siren use- all VFD trucks have Q's on them- and NEVER get used. What a waste of a few thousand dollars....

  • actually the battalion has federal signal unitrol

  • Carey rd?

  • @starcraftguy1 yea the battalion chief has a fedsig unitrol siren

  • Love the video!!

  • Good stuff!!

  • Thank you

  • Nice! The first truck was actually a KME, not ALF, and had the Q and Code 3 siren. The Batallion sounds like a Unitrol siren, but could be a whelen with the unitrol yelp. The third truck (the truck) was a spartan with the EQ2B, you were right on that. The fourth (the Tanker) is an International/E-one and has a PA300, not Code 3. Look over the rear wheels, and you'll see the E-one logo. Hope this helps.

  • thank you!

  • Glad my useless knowledge could help someone, rather than rattling it off to look smart (which i am hahaha)

  • Odd that they are running a PA300 with a 200watt eQ siren grill on the front bumper of that International.

At least they have one "real siren" in the bunch!

    Great catch!!

  • thank you

they hardly use the q2b, don't know why

  • Your kidding??? A siren that actually moves traffic vs electronic noise pollution.. Crazy!

  • i think they use the q2b only for intersections

i do hear a lot of eq2b and sometimes eq2b on yelp

i think they should try out powercall... do you?

  • the tanker could also be a Superior

    Superior is the Canadian E-One

  • Actually, you are right, It does say Superior on it, the Logos look identical, cuz like you said, its the Canadian E-one.

  • @starcraftguy1 Oh yea, I totally forgot about that, and and now that I looked, it is superior.

  • Five stars for the noise, 4 and a half for the filming. It rounds up to 5 either way!

  • Nice video ! five*****
