Having listened to Faye's and the composer's (黃國倫) versions, both have different flavours and feelings. 黃國倫 shared on a Taiwanese talk show how Faye came to sing this song. He resigned to compose full-time but to meet with rejection. Finally he told God he gave up his pursuit of fame and turned himself over to God. then inspiration came and wrote down this song, which was then used for a new singer Shirley (now Faye). At first Faye found it hard to capture the mood of the song.
