UltimateProMelody: you believe anything anyone states don't you. . . Its called a "Global Climatic Change" because the global temperature has not shifted on the positive or negative side more than 4 degrees, in fact global average has been on a "roller coaster run" for over 12,000 years in the "Inter-Glacial" Period. . .
@EdOwnz it's not fake. the true meaning of global warming is a climate change. it results in warmer temperatures for the upper north but cooler temps for the south which makes the worlds temperature more even therefore it is a constant changing weather. Every year there are thousands of record highs in the north; and other record lows mostly in the south.
@UltimateProMelody: Well, ya never know, but it could just be so.........I'd be more worried about places like India or western Europe that don't see a lotta climate variation compared to N. America.
More evidence of global warming, in my NW Fl home our pool had a nice cover of ice on top. It was thick enough that I had to work a little to break it up (ice not good for in-ground vinyl liners). Gosh, Al Gore says very cold temps are truly proof of global warming. Obama says that our utilities will rise significantly under cap and trade. BTW, scientists are now saying this may be a cooling period of at least 30 years! Jeez, not too much of the US south of here to move to for warmer temps.
So many haters that say. "That's not snow." Well get a reality check people... When an event happens like this here in Florida... it's a big deal. It's nothing new to you because it's natural. I'm sure you can't fish or tan out on the beaches year round, ey? LOL
@RxExExD is this really Florida ? I've been to Miami Beach in January several times and the beach is usually full and the streets are full with people with shorts and t-shirts. the reason we go January is because other than that month it can be really humid
@willisapril Miami is on the southernmost TIP of a VERY long land mass known as Florida. It is 900 miles from my town (in Florida) to Miami Beach. Believe me when I say winters can kill in NORTHERN Florida. Have you never seen news stories proclaiming "disaster in the orange industry" because of a freeze in Florida? We do not often get snow, but freezing temperatures are a common occurrence. Just last month, it dipped into the teens at night.

seems this video is popular today, i'm in st cloud fl, No snow here. A possible flurry it looks every now and again mixed with cold rain, 33f currently. Insane for the daytime.
today it snowed in ocala florida it was realy my first time seeing snow my friend had saw snow befor because he lived alaska then moved here my mom had saw snow befor in florida she was 7 or 8ish it was great to see snow for the first time IN FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!
I live in Boca Raton, a coastal town North of Miami and I might just get cold rain today in the 40s but areas North of Okeechobee and South of Orlando may get freezing rain while areas North of Orlando and Tampa will get snow showers and flurries for the first half then freezing rain the last. If we might get snow or sleet in South Florida anytime soon, it's late tonight when the temperatures are supposed to get near freezing point.
The weather people are saying that it's gonna snow today in Florida! I SOOOOO can't believe this! Yippee! Oh, yeah. Snow flurries are coming to Tampa. And I live near Tampa. Just a little colder.,,and it's raining outside. YEAH!!!
i live in pompano beach florida and i personaly think there will be another ice age i mean the entire country is seeing record temperatures its never been this cold. I really hope it snows. Oh by the way GLOBAL WARMING MY ASS!
If the cold airmass is in place around Florida like it has been, I do think there is some potential of snow in central and north Florida. Probably a few flurries, nothing more. I live in Charlotte, NC and the only thing we saw this winter was a short 10 minute snowfall so I am hoping for a dusting at least Thursday night. Hard to think it could snow in Florida if it barely snows here.
heyyy, how come...I live in Macedonia and supposed to be snowing, but I don't really know what the hell is going on with this crazy climate hahahah every thing is upside down
I hope it snows... I live in Jacksonville FL and im awaiting Thursday so much hoping that I will see a white blanket when i wake up but I doubt it will snow enough for that... anyways I HOPE it does lol!
@kailmanning hahaha same here, but I live in northern FL, about an hour and a half away from tampa though. Its... 29 here.. brrr XD I've never seen snow... well I have when I was little, but I do not remember ANYTHING from it XD I have seen pitcures of me in the snow and Im like "thats me? o.O..." If I can't remember it, it didn't happen XD
Let me tell you that you were a funny little boy! lol.... Hi Bdbooth!!!..I was living in shady hills, Fla, just south of Brooksville on Jan 19, 1977, never will foreget that day!!!!!! I played in the snow all day and I was about the same age as the boy in video....wow!!!
but it will never snow there again unless by chance we have one more big blizard or the conditions get that lucky......so basially if i tok a guess as if it were going to snow there again wouldnt it be in 2012 or 2013 or the like probally not though
Some areas of Central Florida received up to 1-2" of snow during this event. Pretty impressive considering amounts like that are virtually unheard of in that region.
I lived in Fla untill october of 76 at wich time we moved to Pa I was excited to see the snow and that was the year pittsburg got 3 ft of the stuff in just a couple of days and it was fallowed with 30 days of 10 below 0 temp people were going outside to get their mail and dieing from exposure and everyone was talking about its snowing in my old nieghberhood of Coco Beach Fla.All I can say is be carefull what you wish for.
