Here's a way that worked for me: Use Google Chrome.

It's that simple. When ever you want to watch a video on YouTube, use Chrome instead of whatever browser you were using. It 100% works.

How did I think of this? Well, YouTube is owned by Google and so is Chrome (obviously). I figured that Chrome would be perfectly optimized for watching videos on YouTube, and I was right. I never got this stupid message since I started using Chrome for watching YouTube videos. Hope I helped.

you're right i think its the isp and not youtube that is doing the blocking because i can see the video using a transparent proxy...

youtube still knows its me who is accessing the video because the proxy spills my ip address. But it seems when i use a proxy my isp no longer knows that i am connecting to youtube which is why it allows me to see the video...

This sounds like an ISP restriction.

Either they want to restrict traffic or content, or perhaps both.

It sounds like there may be multiple solutions for different folks. So what others post here may not work for you. Try this though. Under Tools, click Internet Options, then pick the Connections tab. Then open the LAN settings window. If it's selected, uncheck the Automatically detect Settings option. This worked for me.

Okay guys, I just got off the phone to Shaw and a guy there had a suggestion which seems  to work for my computer. I have been able to view the past five videos in a row! He asked if I use Internet Explorer and then gave me the following directions: Click on tools, click on Internet Options, click on Connections, Click on Lan Settings. If "Automatically Detect Settings" is checked, UNCHECK it. That was it. Good Luck!

This may not be the most elegant solution (but it worked for me).

If you are sure that the Google Accelerator is not the issue, then try this:

Download and install the Flock browser and give it a try. Seach flock browser in google.

And... it should work.

If I open up Internet Explorer on most videos I get the "we're sorry" error, but loading it up with Flock works perfectly - weird.

it was a runescape music video, I tried to access directly from youtube

also, it only happens when I try watching it in high quality

MIND : in front of this message : " we' re sorry, this video is no longer available ", click on 2 or 3 occasions on " UPDATE THE CURRENT PAGE " or Refresh button (the one with circular blue arrow). This may solve some of the problems which came from the new interface (as far as I know). Then it starts.

I open most of the videos by clicking on Refresh button.

Whats going on YOUTUBE? I cant load any new videos. Videos i view are taking years to upload!!!Also it says "we're sorry...blah blah blah...no longer available!!!" when the video clearly is 2 minutes later!!!!????
