Hey man I really appreciate this video. Im a sophomore in high school and I started playing basketball kinda late. I have a passion for it and I have picked it up extremely well, but this should help my ball handling (my one weakest area) and allow me to take my game to the next level. Thanks
@SBVike11 I'm glad you like the drills. Other variations of the drill can include high touches of the wall. This means that you must now do the same drills but both hands must touch the wall higher than your shoulder level. Once completed, you can then do high and low touches. One hand touches above shoulder level, the other touches ankle level. The change in heights makes the drills even more challenging. Please look out for more videos in the new year.
@heismanmobsta68 It's really great to hear that you're improving. I doubt I'll do a video specifically on doing the phase of the drill that you're having difficulty with but here's some pointers; Master between the legs first. Then master the touches on the floor which will require a low stance. Finally, put the 2 phases together. Good luck and let me know how you get on.
thank you coach i use to dribble liek a 6th grader know my speed control and cordination has improved thanks and if you would make a video showing how to do the through the legs touch the ground and wall tutorial its the only one i cant do
oh ! your such a good ball handler bro .. i will try this because i want to be a good ball handler .. :) oh BTW ! im a filipino .. :)) sorry for my bad english ..
No offence taken. However, from what I can see, the player doing the demo has his knees bent. I also have drills that involve players lying down; but these drills are to isolate the upper body control of ball handling. Regardless, I totally agree with you; a better ball handler will be the player that can control the ball at speed whilst staying low to the floor.
no offense, practice is much better than pressing buttons on an xbox but the drills you are showing promotes standing up as opposed to having drills that force a young athlete to stay low. i am not downgrading your drills its just a preference of mine
