4.5B School lunch increase, Sucky Sucking Suckness

To be fair, I think the point the one "catholic school" guy was making is that they have a smaller budget per student and do a better job of teaching, which I would agree with (having come from an inner-city catholic school). The reason teachers are willing to take those kinds of pay cuts, though, is that the classes are smaller and the students are more engaged. You can't expect a teacher in a public school to get paid pennies to risk their life everyday. Now THAT is ridiculous (cough-WI-cough)

@BornWithoutReligion I see, The catholic schools around here have become obsolete. Everyone in public schools talk about going there and etc. I do understand the smaller class deal, I went to a christians girl preparatory school, It did help having less than 25 students at a time. The fact that you have to pay for that is ridiculous. We need to educate the youth simply because they had no choice (to begin with) of where they came from.

People who want to cut the education buget make me sick. Education should be our number 1 priority at any given time. That's what improves life, that's what wins wars. I think private schools are great for those who can afford it, but we have an obligation to all of our nation's children, not just the wealthy.

@Coquipirate oh no no, they aren't cutting anything. They want to shift tax dollars towards nutrition for children in school. It's ridiculous that these people are even arguing about this. Kids need better food....no child left behind? and all that jazz. Anyhow, It's 4.5Billion over a 10 year plan.... ( 0.06 cents on each lunch) BLEH! It's not that bad. And besides, this can help the conservatives kids as well...I don't see the problem. lol

excuse the coughing and looking sick :( I wanted to keep this as a record for myself. I only get sick once a year....so I'm making sure this is the only and last time I get sick this year.
