Impressive! Makes me proud that I have some Scottish blood. A Fijian colleague once mentioned to me that there were some Fijians in the Black Watch, I hadn't given it any thought until I saw this. If their families could not make it to the march past then I hope at least they get to see this vid.

@thepigofhappiness - they were made part of the new Royal Regiment of Scotland in 2006 under a white paper delivered by Geoff 'Buff' Hoon (Defence Secretary), all in the name of 'efficiency'. The plans were announced while the Black Watch were on tour in Iraq, shitting on our troops' morale at a time when they needed it the most.

There not...thats the hose tops you can see, not trousers. The greta coats cover the kilts. Trousers would cover the tops of the spats too.

Pipes and drums wear capes in bad weather, brass wear great coats.

@dog75k It isnt to protect the soldiers, the police are there to keep the crowds from interfering with the parade, not that soldiers couldnt handle the crowd should they interfere, its mainly that they shouldnt have to, they do enough for the country to have to deal with interference in their parades, thats the police officers job
