And yes, if you are going to own a DSM you need to build the bottom end. I went with SBR's stage three 2.0 shortblock, and stage 4 head. Im running a gt40r(almost maxed) Last year at the shootout I put down 674awhp on Buschur's dyno;) and yes M3s DO SUCK!!!!

XHarlequinX- Building the bottom end isnt going to produce a rough idol anyway, its building the head that will give you those results(i.e; lumpy cams or stiff springs) when you have forged internals its more of a "clap" sound, and thats only when the engine is cold because the metals expand and contract(not like the cast stock pieces.)

no not really. if u noticed, all he did was put on a manual boost controller and threw the boost sky high above 12psi. Listen carefully in the video, and u'll hear the car idling like a new car. It doesn't shake at all meaning he didn't bother to buy upgrade pistons or rods and more importantly remove the balance shafts. I removed mine and built the short block and I'm pushing 600whp safely. He's just not smart, like many tuners just wanting to take a shortcut to go fast. GO BIG OR GO HOME :)
