Fantastic Cover for both Wooden Ships and Woodstock. You two could easily fill in for either 3. I've been trying to find tabs or figure out the chords for the csny version of woodstock. Very nice job! But it was actually Essra Mohawk's description of Woodstock to Joni Mitchell that was the impetus of the song. Her driver got lost and they arrived as the concert was ending. Essra used to give Joni singing lessons in fact. True story.

I had read several places that Essra's music was a great inspiration to Joni but no where did I see Joni wrote this as a direct reponse to how Essra described her experience. Everywhere tells the story of Nash (her boyfriend) returning and telling her all about it. I knew Essra was delayed and didn't make it though. If you can link me to a site that goes in to more details regarding the Essra/Joni thing that would be great - I'm always up for being corrected and learning new things.

I think it's the 'it takes too long' aspect I find hard to deal with. Play me a new song and i'll learn it in minutes ask me to sit down and write and my mind goes blank, I get frustrated and give up or I write about pizza or something just as silly lol
