It is worse than Vietnam in that the so-called 'war' in Afghanistan is being kept out of the public eye, unlike the Vietnam war, which was in our living rooms on the nightly news.
Also, there is no longer a draft, so we don't have the kind of situation where the parents of these kids that got drafted won't be asking hey, why did my kid have to die for this?
